you don't mean anything to anyone.
---
you're the unbalanced chemical equation.
the too pink hue in a sea of clear acid.
you're the crippling cellular membrane
overrun by free roaming OH radicals.
OH's that don't care that everything is breaking down
OH's that don't see just how much destruction
there really is.
you're just a spectator among bonds
nothing that contributes to anyone
you don't even make it past the negative phase.
you just cancel
out.
you're not an explosive double bonded gas.
you're not a sealed container where entropy
increases.
you're the puttering out light that comes from
too much air.
you're the ash that can't fit in the crucible
and instead comes dripping out.
(you're the ignitor to your own combustion.)
and when you try to fit in
when you try to force bonds and break your own enthalpy
you end up becoming lost in the cloud.
you become easily taken and easily destroyed.
you don't see the real center you don't see what lies beyond your shell.
you just end up being the broken flask
the mistake no one wants to clean up.
you're the viscous poison that ebbs down the table.
you try so desperately to change your state
but no matter what
you're just a liquid
in a world full of aqueous solutions.
---
you don't mean anything to yourself.
