My profile pretty much tells about me and if anyone is interested, they can look there. But I've wanted to have a blog/journal for a while, but I just haven't gotten to it yet. This isn't going to be anything fancy, at least that's not my intent, but
Ready to Get Healthy
OK. I only go on a diet (make a big change in lifestyle) and invest in exercising when I'm really ready. I'm ready. Unfortunately, I'm on vacation so it's going to be difficult. However, I go home on Sunday and it's Thursday now. I can prepare for the next few days and get my schedule down so that on Monday morning I get a running start. I do a lot of preparing so that it makes things easier for me. I'm one of those "planners". I can follow something once it's set down on paper. I thought I'd keep track here in order to have some sort of public record in hopes that would encourage me to stick to things. My goal is for this to last from May 29 to June 12 and then to aim for June 12 to June 26. If I start to plan any farther out than that, I seem to set myself up to fail. I can do things for two weeks, it seems. And the second two weeks makes it a challenge for me.

Here goes:
On May 29 in the morning I weigh (I'll put this in when I have it)
My goal for the two-week period ending on June 12 is to have lost 8 pounds.

Diet: (total cal per day 730 - allow myself 270 "cheat" calories per day)
7 am 1 glass of Mountain Dew with my medicine (80 cal)
8 am 1 oatmeal with a bit of milk/cream added (120 cal)
9:30 am 1 banana popsicle (50 cal)
11 am 1 cup of soup (70 cal)
12:30 pm gogurt (70 cal)
2 pm 1 banana popsicle (50 cal)
3:30 1 oatmeal with a bit of milk/cream added (120 cal)
5:00 pm gogurt (70 cal)
7 pm banana popsicle (50 cal)
9 pm banana popsicle (50 cal)

Exercise: (aim to do these within 10 minutes of the scheduled time)
7:30 am yoga stretches
8 am plank for 30 seconds
9 am walk with dogs 15 minutes
10 am plank for 30 seconds
11 am walk with dogs 15 minutes
12 pm yoga stretches
1 pm dance for 15 minutes
2 pm plank for 30 seconds
3 pm sit-ups (as many as possible)
4 pm walk with dogs 15 minutes
5 pm plank for 30 seconds
6 pm dance for 15 minutes
7 pm sit ups
8 pm walk with dogs
9 pm yoga stretches
10 pm walk with dogs

After I've done this simple routine for a bit, I'll add in lifting weights and using the eliptical. Those will cause me to have muscle aches more than usual so I want to at least be "warmed" up before starting those. That's for the 2nd two week period.

If anyone who knows anything about changing lifestyles or fat people getting into an exercise routing can give me advice, I'd love it. I'm also going to be keeping a record of my weight and measurements here. Please don't make fun of me if you see it! If I add in any sort of pills or weight loss supplements, I'll also post that.
