Like my gaian friend Floyd, I make most of my living using Macintosh computers. Yesterday I stumbled over the new security updater thanks to a post by Floyd. Since much of the work I'm involved in requires servers that are online 7/24, I tested the server update on the local XServe used for co-location work. If that old dual processor G4 likes the update, I perform the update on the rest of the servers. So far, so good.
The client updater worked without flaw, needing no comment. Tests so far show no flaws or bugs to discuss.
Gaia seems to be working reasonably well for a service scattered across 55 servers. I see fewer server end issues to complain about.
