Can't believe I haven't talked much about things in here lately.
Oh well, the big event of the day was losing my favorite big monitor. It was a very old NEC 21" CRT that has served me for a decade. It had been the mainstay on my best computers.
Now I have a end of model life 20" widescreen monitor and I'm happy now that my old monitor died. The improvements in LCD screen technology are hard to see if you don't have the monitor connected to your specific graphic card. And I would be hard pressed to turn down this image quality.
A week from today is the Apple Developer keynote. Steve Jobs is scheduled to talk about OS 10.5 and other things. The rumor mills are burning up with stories of the newest Intel processors released last week. The Xserve blades and pro desktops are all that are left to update to Core Duo/Core 2 and Core Extreme processors.
So much rides on the future of Apple with these new processors. From what I've seen of the power of the laptops so far, I'm sold.
