OctoCamo's Diary
I write here what I please and act like someone cares.
Hello~!

The last month of my current work contract has started, So far no mention of any plans for extending my contract, but with the past record I assume I won't hear about it until last week or two anyway. I'd prefer a longer temp contract or a permanent contract, but I wouldn't mind a break either.

In last update I got lazy and didn't take picture of the Loot Crate. I'm still lazy, so I decided that I'll just take a picture of the favorite items since pictures and videos of them are all over the internet anyway. Terminator T-800 skull and memory chip were my favorites from last months crate and the others are from the new Heroes 2 crate. This months favorites were Batman '66 QPOP figurine, The League of Regrettable Superheroes book about weird superheroes and Batarang multi-tool "keychain" that has star and flat screwdriver and bottle opener. It also had a nice Wonderwoman mini poster, but it's hard to take a picture without framing it or something.

This is from last month and was already in the last journal entry, but posting it here anyway.
I got Persona 4: Dancing All Night [Crazy Value Pack Famitsu DX Pack] and it's one of the nicest collector's editions I have and it's a really fun game too. I might even rebuy it when it comes out in Europe so I can enjoy the DLC for it.

I also got myself a husbando recently. His name is Ryota and he's from Hatoful Boyfriend. I got the dakimakura cover from Valentine Humble Bundle, they seem to have physical tier quite often nowadays. I didn't have a dakimakura pillow for it so I just have it on a wall at the moment. I got a pillow for it now, but I kinda prefer how it looks as a wallscroll. It's not as suspicious looking on the wall either... So.... Yeah...

I had two weeks off from work end of last month. First week was super boring and stressful. We were on our island that doesn't have electricity and that would've been nice, but we had one of our dogs with us (Belle) and she doesn't get along with my dad's dog for a second so we had to make sure that they're not free or outside at the same time. Which was super annoying and lame. Because I couldn't have the dog outside freely, I had no motivation to hang out on the porch much.

But the second week I was at home and time flew. I picked up a bunch of shows on Crunchyroll.

Friend was really into Hunter x Hunter, but I'm not quite feeling it. It's alright and I still intend to watch it. But haven't in days.
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is AMAZING! Definitely up there with my favorites. Punch Line has a lot of panties, Inferno Cop is short series full of WTF!? by Trigger, Folktales from Japan is all about, well, Japanese Folktales, so it's really interesting for anyone who's interested in that stuff and I like the animation, Death Note is a a drama adaption of Death Note, it's mostly pretty Death Notey.

"I Don't Understand What My Husband Is Saying" is my favorite of the bunch after JoJo's. It's a hilarious and pretty sweet short series about a couple of Otaku husband and a normal wife that doesn't really understand his husbands interests.

And since I enjoyed JoJo's so much. I decided that I'll get JoJo game.

I really like this edition too. Nice statue of Jotaro Kujo with his stand Star Platinum, cool gold plate and box with illustration of Giorno Giovanna with his Gold Experience (Not familiar with this Jojo yet.) and a FULL soundtrack. Jotaro is my favorite JoJo maybe after Jonathan Joaster, so I'm really happy with the figurine.

And last of all, I went to watch Ant-Man in theater. I loved it. Maybe the funniest Marvel movie so far.

I guess that's everything for now.

=== UPDATE: September 3rd, 2015 ===

I finished the Jojo's Bizarre Adventure anime that covers first three parts of manga and I read the part IV. I'm currently at part V with Giorno Giovanna, but I'm not quite feeling it and the scans are horrible organized so currently I don't have much motivation to read it. Still love the series and I'm looking forward to continuing. Jotaro Kujo is my favorite Jojo. I ordered couple Jojo books, though only one has arrived so far.

Someone with a sharp eye might notice that there's few other items in the picture as well.

Horror game Until Dawn was ahmayzing. It starts off as an 80-esque horror flick with a seemingly douchy group of teenagers who gather to a lodge up on the snowy mountains of Alberta year after their two friends vanished there and your actions will determine who will survive. Matt, Ash and Sam died on my playthrough. I was really mad because two of them died on the last stretch. I wouldn't call this a spoiler since everyone can survive or die.

I got over my frustration with Konami (which I'm surprised I haven't vented out in journal) enough to buy Kojima Productions's Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Work and social life has kept me away from the game for past couple of days sadly. I got a steelbook as pre-order bonus and bought the guide for a lithograph by Shinkawa-senpai and a pretty decent sized art section and other extras. I would love a proper artbook, but I don't trust Konami to make right decisions, especially since they didn't make one for Metal Gear Rising.

Speaking of Hideo Kojima and Metal Gear, I don't remember if I ever posted it in journal that Hideo Kojima retweeted picture of my dog Roki once. It's a shame that he retweeted a repost of someone else's tweet. Roki also made it in our company's newsletter.

I also got Lucina Figma from Fire Emblem: Awakening. Sorry for bad edit of a picture with awful field of depth.

=== UPDATE: September 10th, 2015 ===

I've spent a lot of time on Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. I have clocked over 80 hours now, but there's a ton of idle time included there. I had the game on for 24 hours for couple of days because I've been sending my units to missions that will take x amount of real time to complete and the clock doesn't move if the game isn't on. The percentage counter says I'm 21% done. I'm bit disappointed how few cinematic cutscenes there has been so far. Here are some screenshots.

I also have got some more mail. Nothing that big.
A bluetooth controller that's designed based on original Famicom controller.
I wanted a blocky one that looks almost identical to the original, but they accidentally sent me the pro. But it's nice, so I'll live with their mistake. I might order the retro one with NES design at some point if this proves really cool.
I also got some more Jojo's Bizarre Adventure stuff. Here's quite a nice artbook. It's mostly Part III and IV, which are fine since they're some of my favorites. I also got hardcover volume I of Viz Medias release of Jojo's, but forgot to put it in the picture.

I also got the new Loot Crate, but it was pretty lame. It had the dumbest wooden Joker figurine ever and ugliest Venom mug I have ever seen. The good items were Captain America Hydra pin "SFX Replica" and Los Pollos Hermanos (Breaking Bad thing) apron. And that's it.
