OctoCamo's Diary
I write here what I please and act like someone cares.
These have been the laziest months in my life, haven't had motivation to update my journal or do much of anything.

Our older dog, Belle, has had this weird lump on root of her tail for a long while and it hasn't been a problem until last month when it had a sudden growth spurt where it tripled in couple of days and the skin broke off causing leaking and a big risk of infection. The only option we had was amptutating the tail, which was scary because she's above Boxers average life expectancy. But operation went fine and the dog is fully recovered and not seeming to care much about the tail.

My mom's family's car also died off due to some engine problem while my brother and I were heading out shopping to a big city couple hour drive away. This resulted to one of the crappiest days I can remember. The trip hadn't been brought up until my brother kicked me up early in the morning after four hours of sleep. My brother wanted to go pick up a new graphics card for "his" desktop and I decided to accompany him since I'd get a chance to go to some shops that we don't have in my city such as Gamestop. I ended up having to pay the gasoline for whatever reason, but otherwise the trip was going well for bit over an hour. Then the car died on us and next hour goes to us desperately trying to revive it and come up with a plan to get home. We ended up abandoning the car and get a ride from my brother's friend (who's car I also had to buy gasoline for) to the city we were heading to so we can take a train to a town half an hour from our city and from there I was able to arrange my friend to pick us up. We had time to pick up my brother's graphics card, but we drove right past all of the stores I wanted to go to. So my brother gets what he wanted, I lost 10 hours of my life, had to tank two cars and buy two train tickets and ask a favor from my friend and only thing I got out of it was a chance to finally visit Burger King for the first time. That being said, at least the food was excellent.
Double Whopper almost made up for the last burger place I went to with my brother some weeks earlier called Sheriff that my brother had been hyping up for years. They had good sauce on their burger, but there was way too much meat on it for it to really taste like anything. I would've been really disappointed if I actually had to pay the 25 EUROS for the burger, but luckily it was my brother's treat. But right now we have no working car, we are able to get the broken one off our back this week by selling it for couple of hundreds and my mom and brother are looking for a replacement and sounds like they already have their eyes on one, so hopefully this won't continue for long. The ordeal hasn't made me any more interested in getting my own car or driver's license, although at least the latter one will be unavoidable. I lost a job offer this month for not having a ride, though thank God for that really since if I had gotten and started the job, our only car breaking down would've destroyed me.

It's been annoying me to have an incomplete generation by missing an Xbox One. I've been waiting for Microsoft to give me a reason to get one, but to this date they've failed to give me one. The new S model caused the prices to go down and was able to pick mine up for 200 euros, which I thought was the best deal I'll likely come by anytime soon. So I grabbed onto it. At least now I'll have a system to play Scalebound on and Xbox does have the Rare Replay.

More Xbox One games that I picked up from sales.

The Evil Within is a game I was somewhat interested in being Shinji Mikami's new survival horror game, however I've grown into being a scaredy cat. I don't know how that happened with horror movies and Resident Evil being an entire chapter in my childhood.

I've heard a lot of good things about Tokyo Mirage Session #FE, even though it also suffered some of the most nonsensical censorship I remember ever seeing in games. I also wanted to play Resident Evil 5 last generation with my friend, but we never got around it. However both of us are on PS4 now and picked the remaster out and we finished it last week, though we still have DLC chapters to do. It was a pretty nice game to co-op, even though it had very little of what made Resident Evil what it was intact. I've heard Wasteland 2 is similar to original Fallouts that I only really bought for PS4 because it was two euros. I turned it in to Gamestop for eight euros without ever having the chance to try it out, though I might look into it for PC at some point.

I've been fighting the temptation of buying Overwatch collector's edition since the launch and been holding out on it until recently when I was able to pick it up for half the price. I love Overwatch. The characters and the artwork. It's sad that it's weakest link turned out to be the game itself in it's entirety, being a non-canon multiplayer without a story, end or ultimately any point.

It's been a while since I bought these, but when The Megas released their "The Belmonts" EP on cassette for only couple extra bucks on top of digital tracks, I couldn't resist it. Tape player from our boombox turned out to be broken, but luckily I was able to find my old walkman from storage. You can listen to the EP at their Bandcamp for free. Pretty good stuff, though their Mega Man stuff is better.

My interest in Amiibos has been on decline, but I ended up buying Ryu and Mega Yarn Yoshi amiibos from -50% sale. I got Yoshi in belief that it was bundled with the game, but this wasn't the case, but it's nice so oh well. Forgot to take a picture of it, but I'm far too lazy to fix that now.

The proudest moment in months happened day ago when I got my very first Platinum Playstation trophy.

Unexpectedly it was from freshly released Criminal Girls 2, which is a pervy Vita game. I keep buying these kinds of games for lolz and lose interest in them within an hour, but this one grabbed me in a way another game really hasn't in a long while.

The story is that you are a Program Instructor in Hell working on reformation program that works as the last chance for delinquents to earn a second chance at life by overcoming their "inner demons" that had put their lives on track where they would have soon committed crimes that would doomed their soul to Hell for good. You're put in charge of seven girls, but in middle of the reformation Hell's convicts start a coup and you with your group are thrown down to Hell due to suspicions of one of the girls in your party not being a delinquent picked for reformation program, but a disguised Convict trying to escape Hell. The game plays like a legit RPG with an interesting story and characters and it's quite sad that all of it is somewhat overshadowed by it's lewd reputation. Where the pervy stuff comes in is in the way your characters learn their skills, you unlock them by "Motivating" (originally called Punishing) them in pervy mini-games where you scrub, whip, slime, shock and squeeze girls into submission. The lewdness was tuned down for the western release, but it was still pretty ridiculous what they were able to get away with only getting banned from Germany. While I strongly oppose censoring games or other media, I'll have to tip my hat to localization team. For anyone curious, I've collected all the artwork from "Motivation" mini-games and the endings on a Imgur gallery for academic purposes. NOT SAFE FOR WORK! Here is also a link to the trailer to see gameplay and hear the fantastic theme song.
