We sat there in the flowers till the glowing orb in the sky began to fade and duck under the horizon. The sky turning a deep imperial purple as we stand hand in hand, watching the light fade. I sighed contentedly as the animals started to stir and wake from their slumbers to scurry through the flowers and flutter through the nearby trees. I could even hear their wing beats from here, getting louder and louder. Suddenly I felt uneasy and Satan yells for me to run. I glance back and quickly spot the immaculate figure from before, running as fast as I can towards the woods, the devil just in front of me tugging me along as the angel pursues us. I try to keep up but I trip scraping my knee and he tries to tug me to my feet but it's too late. The angel is upon us in an instant. My hair flies in my face as he raps his muscular arms around me and yanks me away from the devil. I cry out, my hand slipping from Satan's and with a powerful stroke from his wings he dragged me up into the sky, the wind tearing at my face and tangling my hair. Glancing down I shrieked and grabbed onto the man and he laughs cruelly. "Don't worry young one, I'll not drop you. We need you alive…for now" he laughed again and a shiver went down my spine. His voice was not as deep as the devils and unlike the devil that treated me as an equal the angel seemed to talk down to me as though I was beneath him. If I wasn't so frightened I would have glared at him but instead I looked down once more. Satan was down there. He was ducking through bushes and jumping logs as he struggled to keep up with the angel, I smiled softly. The angel must have noticed him for he laughed again and released me. I screamed as I fell, the wind rushing past my face. Squinting I could see water below and I watched it tumble over the cliff and fall a dozen feet below, crashing down on the rocks below as I imagined I would do as well. Arms flailing I screamed and screamed till me lungs hurt and as I fell past the top of the waterfall I spotted Satan skid to a stop and cry out, the sound full of fear. Suddenly there was a flash of white and gold and with a jerk I stopped plummeting. Strong arms crushing my ribs as the rocks that had gotten so close receded rapidly. My whole body shook as I looked up at the new winged figure, his skin a shade darker then the first and his voice just as menacing as he called to his fellow. "Malakh stop toying with the human" the angel that held me let out an amused chuckle that gave me goose bumps as the one called Malakh glared at him and mumbled crossly "yes Gabriel". It was obvious that Malakh was Gabriel's subordinate. I could hear the devil's shouts from below as he cursed and threatened the angels but they just laughed. I watched as Satan got smaller and smaller fading in the distance as my captors carried me away. My eyes watered when I could no longer see him standing on the waterfall shaking his fists to the sky but I would not let myself cry. Not in front of these cruel but beautiful creatures. I'd rather die… Suddenly a pain stabbed through me, blurring my vision and making my head pound. My chest hurt where the angel Gabriel had slammed into me as I fell and every muscle ached. I let out a soft groan of pain then darkness flooded in and even the whistle of the wind faded to nothing.
