Chapter 2
TABSaro pushed the wolf off her lap and put the paper and pen on the desks. She saw that incense had been burning and she only rolled her eyes. Her other side was such a whimp, to not be able to function when around the smell of blood. She remembered the day before as though she’d been in a fog, though it was because she hadn’t been the one in control. She’d blacked out at around noon, again. She looked at the clock, five fifteen.
TABWith a sigh she grabbed clothes to change into and went into the bathroom, turning on the shower and letting the water heat up. Once in, she simply stood there and let the hot water relax her tense muscles, mildly annoyed that Sara always had this reaction to the nightmares, a memory. When she heard her mom pound on the door and yell for her to get out she did so with a sigh, wrapping the towel around her wet hair after drying off and she started to pull on the clean clothes. A black halter and jeans, nothing unusual. She combed out her hair, long and wavy and that shade of auburn that she found dull, before she padded downstairs.
TABSaro avoided her little sister, kept from tripping over Zante, and grabbed a pop-tart from the box on the counter.
TAB“That’s mine!” her sister whined, to which Saro only glared.
“Moommmmmy!!” her sister wailed. Once their mom was in the kitchen, looking annoyed, Caroline wailed “Sissy took my pop-tart!”
TAB“In my defense, it was in the box and unopened and not bitten into,” Saro sighed, leaning against the counter.
TAB“Caroline, there’s more pop-tarts in the box. Let Saro have that one,” Laine soothed.
TAB“But I want that one!”
TAB“But sharing is good. We need to share and not always get what we want.”
TAB“That’s not fair!”
TAB“Life isn’t fair,” Saro interjected, to which Caroline burst into tears and earned an exasperated sigh from her mother.
TAB“She’s only four, she doesn’t need life lessons yet,” Laine scolded, though not harshly.
TAB“You started lecturing me when I was three,” Saro retorted, taking the pop-tart upstairs and turning on her computer as she passed it in her room.
TABAs soon as the computer was booted up she heard it beep. The sun wasn’t even completely up and Tori was already IMing her, only because Sara’s phone wasn’t on and was un-textable at the moment.
TABGeckogirl187: hey, ur coming 2 the mall rnt u?

TABStupidestnameever: *glares and pushes Sara off cliff*
TABSuperflirt01: whatever. Crap, g2g. stupid mother….
TABSaro signed off, leaving Xander and Tori to do, whatever it is they usually did when she wasn’t there. She went downstairs and, once again avoiding Caroline, looked at the pitiful looking Zante. “They forgot to feed you again didn’t they?” she asked as she picked up the food bowl. She filled it with food, a mixture of raw meat and dog food, and put it on the ground for the pup to gulp down.
TABOnce the dishes were in the cabinet she went back upstairs. Her phone started ringing, when had she turned it on?
TAB“’ello?” she answered, sighing as Tori hung up after rattling something off. Saro ran to dry her hair, taking a whole five minutes to do so, and pulling on her boots. She grabbed her purse, with her phone and money, and told her mom she was going to the mall and movies before running out the door.
TABShe felt the familiar haze coming once she was down the street. “Oh God, not again,” She moaned as everything went dark.
