Well... first day back at school. How tiring. Our PE teacher has a sense of humor, one must admit. It was announced today in PE that we would spend all of this week and half or more of next running. Normally we do some running-type warmups (list below) and then go on to weight training. Not this week, though. Because we've all gotten so out of shape over winter break he's having us run. And run. And run. ~ All of this he delivered with a smile tinged with a tad of evil grin-ness. I must admit, while I dislike endurance running, he's got style. Now, if it were sprinting then I could deal with that more happily. But whatever. It's not like he makes us run all of class ~ he just makes sure we at least jog for most of it. Not so bad. Gives us time to talk as we shuffle panting around the gym. And we get the last six or so minutes to abuse each other whilst not running. Shweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet.

Here's a list of stuffs we do on a normal schedule
WARMUPS (pick 4-6 on the list per class)
butt kicks
karaoka (can't spell it (sounds like that))
high knees
high knee skips
power skips
lunge walking
high fences to the side
high fences forward
high fences backward
defensive slides
form run (in various percent speeds)
form run wide
ladders (sub categories not included (there are about 4-6 of them))

WEIGHT TRAINING (pick 3-4 per class)
bench
towel bench
auxiliary
push press
squats
front squats
trap bar
pull ups
military bench press
cleans


There's also some stuff that we only do on Fridays but I'm too lazy to remember the names. It looks fairly military (and indeed it is) but since the class is only 45 minutes a day it isn't so bad. We used to have 90 minutes every other day ~ now that was hell. Anyways, I'm taking PE of my own free will because without it I'd be very very round to say the least. We also usually have a game day on Friday if it isn't a short week or something ~ I hate game days. I have a slight phobia of balls... and the games on Friday usually are games like dodgeball, basketball, or soccer. HELL. IT IS HELL. But at least the days are nice for lazies.

I'm actually not bad at PE. I'm pretty strong for a girl ~ I bench 145 for my maximum and I can keep up with the running if I really really feel like it (which I typically don't).
