Relationships are a very
tricky thing to work with.
Perhaps you find yourself in
a severe infatuation with someone.
Perhaps that someone is just
a person who just keeps their
relationships going for a couple weeks.
Perhaps even less.
You never seem to realize this
until it is already too late.
Then you find yourself hurdling
into a depressive state just
because you didn't plan ahead.
You didn't try to figure out
just what this person was about
when you decided to be with them.
Thank goodness I havn't been put
into that situation yet.
My first, and current, girlfriend
has been with me for a remarkable
9 months at this time of writing.
I tell friends that I have held a relationship
for 9 months, they either say "good for you,"
or they will say something like "Come on, you
need to trade them out every two weeks."
It makes me really wonder why people
have such different views on this matter.
But I suppose their opinions don't
really concern me in any way.
But none the less, I have to wonder,
how long will my own last?
I am very happy with it now,
but will I be happy another year from now?
Unfortunately, I cannot know.
All I do know is that I have to take
life one step at a time and hope
that this relationship will stick.
Which is all the more reason I'm
dissapointed in myself sometimes.
I just can't help it though.
I want to be over my thoughts,
but it never considers leaving my mind.
It seems as though I'm stuck with it.
It has been plaguing and blessing me at the same time.
I want them to stop, but at the same time I don't.
They treat me well enough,
but now isn't the best time for them.
Which makes me all the more saddened
because I'm sure they will be more or less
raping me over the next couple of weeks at least...
I don't think I will be able to avoid it.
I'll have to cope with the struggles
that these pleasures end up giving me.
