I sigh a deep sigh
as I look to my calender.
A mere week til school
begins once again.
A mere week til
classes start up,
til we are spending
hours a day completing
tedious tasks assigned
by those who call
themselves teachers,
and til we are stuck in
classrooms for the majority
of our day.
Sigh..... summer was good,
but we all knew it couldn't
last forever.
Every year it shoots by us
without us realizing it.
And yet, the odd irony of the
situation is, we are sometimes
in our boredest states during
all this free time.
It seems without any established
orginization we have nothing to do.
It seems like its a win-lose
situation for the students.
Win in the fact that we are no longer
bored during a time of enjoyment,
and lose in the fact that our time of boredom
is now spent within the walls of our
educational system. Dammit.
But one knows that the day soon
comes upon them that they must
return, not of their own will, but of
the will of those around them.
So i bid ado, ahead of time,
to all the wonders that this
summer has provided me.
I was pleased with what had occured,
but it is time once again to
begin our system of orginization,
and say farewell to our freedom.
