“How about that one there?” Yilanti pointed at a green-haired girl with a bright dress, who was pestering people for attention.
“Too annoying. I do want my minions to have a bit of intelligence.” Tome said.
It was a bright day, and Tome and his minion sat on a bench in Gambino Park. Tome was residing on her head as he always did. This time, she wore a blue bandana. One of her many outfits Tome made her use to disguise her appearance. He only wished she had a better sense of style.
“Why must you be so picky, Tome? Don’t you enjoy it if everyone is part of your dark army?” She asked him.
Tome sighed. Was it too hard for her to realize that have dumb henchmen would only get you faster in your grave? Lots of villains have made that mistake before.
“I don’t want her soul, end of story.” He simply stated.
Yil twiddled her red earring and looked around. It was sometimes so hard to please her master. Almost everything seemed to annoy him.
It was then someone caught her eye. It was someone that was known as a Grunny Zombie, aka ‘Grombie’. Yilanti had always found it amazing that zombies were able to live in their community. It wasn’t so much that she found them scary, but more of the fact that they didn’t act like regular “film” zombies. With the brain-eating and stuff. It made her wonder if there were more stereotypes that could be broken like that.
As the Grombie girl passed them by, the Grunny looked with his red beady eyes at Yilanti and Tome.
“How about that girl, Tome? Tome?” Yilanti repeated his name when she didn’t hear any reply.
Tome just looked as the Grunny on the head faded into the horizon.
It was getting late. With no success, Yilanti decided to head home.
“Why are you still so quiet Tome?” She asked, for the white cat hadn’t said boo or bah to her.
Tome couldn’t care less as he stared at random trees.
Yilanti caught one red butterfly and took it from her net with her hand.
“Look at it, squirming and pathetic.” Tome said, breaking his monotone silence. Yilanti rolled her eyes.
“You can’t blame it for wanting do to what it wants.” She said, releasing the insect. It flew away from them, towards the bank Yilanti knew so well.
“It’s still pathetic. Just like that Grunny.”
Yilanti raised an eyebrow. “You’re still thinking about that green rabbit?”
Tome blushed and made a snarl. “I’ll make it my business to think. You just work.”
Yilanti shrugged and looked at the bank, sighing , for a certain bank owner had stolen her heart.
