( Day 30 )
My gosh! I can't believe it's now October and there are 30 days left! Outstanding!
I wasn't on much yesterday, only in the morning a bit, but I managed to pull in 150 gold. It's a far cry from 500, but it put me 1% closer to the remaining paper bags. Right now, I have the 150, so I'll only need to earn 350 and that looks a lot more manageable.
I officially reported my bank glitch in Aerion's thread in the Questions and Feedback forum. I hold out little hope of receiving the 10,800 gold back. It's most likely permanently gone. Sucks to be me, but I'll push forward anyway.
I've worked out that if I earn and put 600 gold directly into the five remaining bags, I'd have about 5 days, maybe 4, cleared before Hallowe'en. That sounds inviting, because if I continued to earn 600 gold on those remaining days before Hallowe'en I could send the money to pay for the bags that I successfully retrieved. Of course, this was done with me at a gold count of 0. Otherwise, if I take 15,000 less 2,100 and divide by 30 days, I only need to collect 430 gold a day. I like the 500 a day better. It'll be trickier than the 400 gold, but it'll move me a long faster! Or, I could put the difference towards my funds for the other bags. Let's see . . . 2,100!
No, I think I'll stick with the other plan of 500 a day with 300 going towards the bags I don't have and 150 going towards the bags I have but didn't pay for.
In the morning of October 3, 2004, I wrote::

( Day 29 )
After being on for most of all day (from before 7 am to a little after 10 pm and maybe a half hour off), I made it to 2,700 gold. That's 600 gold, 100 over the desired 500 level. Woot! That so rocks! I'm not so sure if I can do that well today, but I'll give it a try.
In the evening of October 3, 2004, I wrote::
I changed my bumps. Instead of the :B bag, I'm using the :]. Of course, this doesn't mean a whole lot unless you noticed previously that I used the same bag over and over again. I've also come up with some wittier sayings to go along with my bag bumps. Just so it's not so monotous.
A big THANK YOU to Lord Braska for making a Hallowe'en bump for me! Here it is:

Very sweet and I love it!
I tried to make a trade with a friend. She started it, but I couldn't confirm it. Bank still isn't working. The trade was cancelled and the gold returned to her, so nothing lost this time. Still, a little disheartening as who can donate to questers if the bank won't allow it? Apparently buying at the shops still works and is pretty much okay save for the error message after buying. Back tracking one screen and then going to profile reveals the item in inventory, so that's my tip of the day.
Gold wise, I've made it to 500. I'll probably make it beyond that and that would be lovely. In no time flat, perhaps by Wednesday if not sooner, I shall be making another draw as I'll have enough money to "buy" a bag. With luck the bank will be good. Even not, I'll still make the draw and simply hold on to the money until I can do the transaction without problems. I'd hate for someone to lose their prize money.
Currently, I sit at 3,200 gold. 2,550 in hold for another new bag and 640 gold in hold for a bag that I traded for successfully but lost the money for.
Edit :: Woot! Today's total is 550 gold, 50 above what I wanted! Yay! biggrin
In the evening of October 4, 2004, I wrote::

( Day 28 )
Thank you, thank you, thank you to Lord Braska and Tabitha Gayle! Lord Braska donated 1,000 gold towards my quest and Tabitha Gayle gave me this wonderful rusty longsleeve baggy shirt! *huggles them both* Thank you so much for being so kind to me!
Congratulations to ~Ayame forever~ for winning this bag's round! Booyah!
And so, I shall soon end this day on a very high note. ^^ Although this quest has its ups and downs, I certainly have been blessed today. It makes up for all those times when I couldn't trade. ^^
I managed my 500 gold quota beyond Lord Braska's healthy donation. A little more than that, probably 550 by the time I'm done today. I'm very happy at how the quest is going. It was tricky at 400, but so far, I'm doing all right at 500 gold. And I'm also very happy that the bank works now. Yay! May there be no more problems with it from here on in!

( Day 27 )
I'm back at it again. 4 bags left to go in the remaining 3 and a half weeks of October. Okay, so maybe I should look at the month as remaining. lol But it works out to about six days a bag. *realizes the math* Woah. And here I thought I could have a somewhat relaxing day. All righty then. I'm off! Whee! (But it's mostly because I can't think of anything else to say, my brain is that fuzzy at the moment. ^^;; wink
In the evening of October 6, 2004, I wrote::

( Day 26 )
Currently working to sell my trunk. It's all right, but there's really not much enthusiasm for trunks it seems. I'm going to try for a little longer and see if I can receive a higher offer for it. If not, then I'll go with Quest Bumper's offer of 2,000 gold.
Yesterday I earned 575 gold. What started off as me saying, "Okay, I'll reach 5,250 and end it there" became "Well, I've only got 10 more gold to go; I might as well stay on." Naturally, my math was off and I needed 30 more gold. By the time I realized it, I was already halfway there, so I stayed on until I had 5,280. This meant I was too tired to be on early this morning and whether I reach 500 gold today, I honestly don't know. The sale of my trunk would help greatly.
*returns to trunk thread and sees trade* Oo
Woot! Thank you Cheffy! How sweet of you to help me on my quest! Thank you so much!!
Edit :: Thank you boombaibe for your donation! And thank you to Quest Bumper for buying my trunk and then giving me the veil that was inside! You people are too good for me! I've only earned about 320 gold on my own this evening (if my math is still straight). My bumpers and donators pwned me!
Edit #2 :: I finally updated my goals and items. I've earned enough for a second bag and I have one bag that I received earlier paid for! Woot! So it'll be time to draw for a new winner! I'm looking forward to that, but first, to get up to 9,150.
In the morning of October 7, 2004, I wrote::

( Day 25 )
Congratulations Sadie_Mae on being this bag's round winner! Woot! You bumped earlier on in my quest and have finally won a prize.

That now leaves me with three bags to earn and two bags to pay off! Woot to infinity! I didn't think I'd be purchasing a bag so soon, but I've pulled it off with assistance from my bumpers and donators! Woot! You guys rock!

( Day 23 )
Logged on and caught a pinklink! Woot! I'm going to make that cover yesterday and today, because I'm not sure how much I can be on today. It's the Thanksgiving long weekend where I am and already preparations are underway. Actually, they were underway yesterday because the dinner has been shifted from Monday to today and since I'm the main cook . . . .
Thursday's gold count was 225 out of 500, which isn't too bad, considering I went out for the night. A girl needs a break every now and then and it's been a while since it's then. With that in mind, 275 earned today would cover Thursday. At the moment, I'm close to 50. Could I be any more geekier?
Thank you so much to my bumpers! You people are wonderful!

( Day 21 )
Got back on the trail of questing for those few remaining brown paper bags. I didn't mean to take another day off, but it turned out that way. Now comes the fun of catching up. But before I do that . . .
Congratulations Quest Bumper on capturing page 350! It seems you've regained your claimage title again! Thank you wholeheartedly for letting me keep your prize of 100 gold. And thank you so much for your numerous bumps! They're wonderful!
Thank you to everyone who has bumped my thread over the weekend. I'll find out who you all are in a moment or two and update your bump count/add you to the bumpers list.
And now to stroll through my quest and update my main page. Three weeks, including to today, left.
Edit :: Thank you Quest Bumper for your donation! That'll help me lots!
I'm currently doing a naked-for-a-week-maybe-longer contest for The Official Quest Guild. I'm tying it into my quest by remaining naked until my quest is over! This will be tough, because not even when I started did I post without clothes on. A top and bottom were the first things I worked towards. I don't even go completely naked when changing my clothes. :O~ My goal is that my insatable urge to wearing clothing will force me along my quest faster, because I want clothes on but can't until my quest is over! @_@ It'll be interesting to see if I can pull this off!

I managed to stay on Gaia for most of the day. The eyes are weary, but the backyard looks nice and supper was good. Talk about a balancing act!
I've earned and surpassed 500 gold for today. At the moment, I've earned 700 gold. On top of this is 200 gold from Quest Bumper and 300 gold from MeOfManyNames.
Thank you MeOfManyNames for your help today!
Edit :: Woot! I had a feeling that I should go to the main page. I did. A pinklink was waiting for me. That helps me immensely and it's soon time for a bumper appreciation prize drawing! I'm not sure if I can do it tonight, but I'll try. If not, it'll be by tomorrow morning.

( Day 20 )
Congratulations to Tula for winning this bag's bumper appreciation prize. Woot!
Yesterday was something else for collecting gold. I managed 900 out of the desired 500. I tested this morning to see if I earn gold from polls. I don't. However, I seem to be earning more gold when I post now and it's since I've just come on. This has me thinking that the gold gaining glitch may be loosen its grip on me. It's still there, but I'm able to earn a wee bit more than I had before.
I'm currently sitting at one bag purchased and half a bag recovered. I'm aiming on doing the trade once I have 2/3 of a bag recovered. (By recovered I mean gold saved up that I previously lost.) That would bring me down to 2 bags and 1 and 1/3 of a bag to work towards. At this rate, I'm sure I'll be done my quest a good couple of days before Hallowe'en. I might even be able to do a practice run of my quest/donation plan.

( Day 19 )
I didn't have much progress yesterday. By the time evening came around, I was too tired to "hang in there." -_- Over two hours, the best I could do was 50 gold. -_- I think that's an all time slow rate for me.
I'm aiming for 200 gold this morning. I have a sneaky feeling that may not happen, but I'll still give it a go. Hopefully by this evening, I'll be able to go gung-ho again and get caught up. I did wonderful the other day, but somehow that hasn't put me ahead by much.
Edit :: THANK YOU to Kit_Fox of Divine Intervention Charity for donating 500 gold to my quest this morning! I've put it all towards the next paper bag to buy and I'm now 1/6 of the way closer to that bag. Woot! Thank you Kit_Fox!

( Day 17 )
I'm not sure how I goofed up this post on Wednesday, but I have it fixed now. o.O Another example that I'm not good with anything that has to be just so in the evening? Could very well be.
I wasn't on yesterday. I believed that if I went to bed early, I could be up early. Ha! Although it was nice to have some sleep. ^^ So, today I get to bust my butt off to get up to speed with my quest. I'm under 9,000 gold left to earn. I'm aiming to bring that to 8,000 left.
*hits preview multiple times*
Damn! It's not me. Okay, that's good, but it's Gaia. That's not good. sad Something's been changed and now my colouring of the quote heading won't work. sad
In the evening of October 15, 2004, I wrote::
I found a pinklink! Woot! That puts me ahead by about two days, which is really great! I have 325 gold left to earn this evening. I believe I can do it.
My thread still looks odd, so I've had to give up on the fancy colouring that has dominated my quest thread for so long. I don't know why the change has occurred, but I believe I have a way around it next quest.
Edit :: Woot! I have less than a hundred gold to go and I'll have 1,000 gold earned, not including the pinklink that I caught earlier! This will put me ahead by two days with the link. I hope to catch a few more to sped this quest up.

( Day 16 )
Whee! I made the thousand plus an extra 75 so that I can coordinate my 25's with the 25; 50's with the 50; and 75's with the 75 in the upper right hand corner. Mimizing the math - booyah!
I'm currently sitting at two days ahead of my schedule. I'm going to see that over the weekend I can be three days ahead of my schedule.

( Day 15 )
Whee! Not only did I make a batch of banana cashew muffins, but I also updated The Official Quest Guide's charity list. @.@ I hadn't thought it would take me two hours to do it, but it did. Now it's pretty and update and only a handful of links to closed charities. Eventually they'll return; it's only a matter of when. With that said, I think the C.F. Linklist could use a major update as well. I had to rely on that and it is a mess! I didn't even want to venture into the second page. It'll be a long haul re-working that, and I can't see anyone jumping to the gun to do that, not even me. Phew!
I hanged in last night enough to make the 500 gold quota. Once I reached that, I was more than glad to log off. I'd like to thank Clyde and Agatha (mostly Agatha) for being good servers as they premitted me to stay on and browse through Gaia, while the rest, well, I have no idea where the rest were. Rebooting?

( Day 14 )
Well, I look to be on target, a bit ahead of the quest game. So tired though! I'll be so glad to be done questing. -.- Anyway, I accomplished 800 gold, of which some of that will be used for the prizes. Prizes will be given out on the night of October 31st. Unless it's the bumper appreciation award and then it'll be handed out when the bank is good or on October 31st, whichever won't kill the gold. Of course, pending bank troubles right up to October 31st, the prizes will have to be given out later, but I hope to avoid that. It would be a shame to not have enough to buy something at the shop on Hallowe'en night to earn whatever it will be this year (if the setup is the same as last year) and get that special event item. Hence, the date for prize handout.
Um, yeah. There was something else I wanted to say, but I can't remember it. Maybe it'll come back to me or something to that effect. Meh. Until then, the counter's been reset and I'm off for another day! Woot! -_-;;
In the evening of October 18, 2004, I wrote::
I'm back for another session of questing. I'm not sure if I can make it until I've earned 600 gold; I'm currently at 200 gold and if I earn a hundred, maybe 200, I'll be considering myself happy. Of course, if I do go the way of earning 600, then I'll be sitting pretty at 10,000 gold! The end result is that I'll need to collect 5,000, which at 500 gold a day is 10 days. (Yes, I'm sure on the math, I've been continuously figuring it out all day just to be sure!)
I sure would like to be done this quest. I long for the days when I can be on as I please and not have to keep tabs on how much I'm earning. Of course, my next quest, which is only a half quest, will be a lot more fun than now. In a way, this quest is still fun, however, I'm longing for other outfits. That and I'm chilly without my clothes! lol I'm holding steady fast to my pledge to be naked until my quest is over. No copping out for me.
And wouldn't it be sweet if I made it to 10,000 gold by this evening? I would be so happy and delighted and that much closer to finishing my quest! Oddly enough, I'm kind of glad the bank isn't working. No pain, no gain and the bags will be so much sweeter after this evening's pain of figuring out how to earn more gold!
Edit :: Well, not too bad for this evening. I didn't make the 600 gold mark, but I reached pretty close: 150 shy, but I can pick that up tomorrow.
In the morning of October 19, 2004, I wrote::

( Day 13 )
A brand new day and I'm back on my quest campaign. ^^ I see I'm only 60 gold off from having another bag. Woot! I am getting closer and closer to the end! And I'm on a bit early this morning, so . . . . I should have no trouble earning yesterday's 150 gold and throwing myself over the 6,000 mark for the remaining three bags, which will soon be one.
Edit :: Woot! I've earned enough for another bag! That leaves one bag to obtain and about 2/3rds of another bag to pay off. ^^
The bank still isn't operating very good. I sent a test trade of 1 gold and it went through okay. I tried a hundred and after three attempts of typing the trade name, adding the gold and typing in my password, the page reloaded as a fresh page. ^^; I didn't lose any gold, but trades aren't doing well. Maybe another day or two and the bank will be better. Maybe. ^^;;
In the evening of October 19, 2004, I wrote::
Woot! Congratulations to loser_techie for winning the twelfth bag's bumper appreciation award! Whee!
A big THANK YOU to Tula for her donation! I thought I settled her concern of not donating to me (it really wasn't necessary), but she blew me out of my chair when I checked my trades. Holy cripe!
I've come back down to Gaia, although everything still feels surreal. @_@ I still have a little bit to go. I've collected 600 gold (not including Tula's donation), which is outstanding! However, I need about 200 gold or so to complete my quest and then there are the prizes that I need to make sure are in order. I figure that by the end of this weekend, I should be good. So I'm going to leave the bumping contest for the most bumps open until I have my prize money (most likely by Friday). The bumpers appreciation award contest will close tomorrow evening. By then I know I'll have my 200 or so gold and all that will be left over are some of the prizes.
To make this as fair as possible, I will not be accepting any more donations for my quest. Essentially it's over save for a couple of loose ends. I wouldn't feel right to accept someone's hard earned gold just so I could give it out as an award for someone else. I think that would be cheap of me. The only way to surpass someone now is to out bump him/her.
A shame previewing doesn't work this evening. Oh well. A good night to everyone!

( Day 12 )
For all intents and purposes, my quest is over. I have a couple of trades pending (one that I have to mull over) and I'm working out the prizes. It looks like I'll be awarding the Top 6 bumpers, not the Top 5. I think there might be a couple of more adjustments (nothing bad!), which I'm currently working out. Aside from the winding down, my quest is complete and I can soon wear clothes! But for now, I need to lie down and catch a few more zzz's.
In the afternoon of October 20, 2004, I wrote::
Congratulations to Celestial Warlock! Celestial Warlock is the last winner of my Bumper Appreciation Award.
Congratulations to my bumping winners, Tula, Quest Bumper, Koji Bob, Lord Braska, boombaibe, and MeOfManyNames! You six have helped me out so much and worked so hard that my current prizes do no justice. I'm going to see that I can sweeten the pot a little.
And that is all for my Brown Paper Bag Quest. ^^ Thank you everyone who has helped me, either by bumping, donating, or doing both.
