Today I finally got some of my exams over and done with! If not until the day after tomorrow. My dad's flying overseas to my cousin's wedding. My mom and sister don't even remember the guy she's marrying... which is big, considering they've been together for a good seven years. I remember the time my cousin visited with her boyfriend. He was friendly, good-natured, outgoing, polite, and etc. That's all I remember... I used to be close to my cousin, but then she stopped visiting. (But after all, she did live in central US for her college.) Sometimes I think to myself that I want to go to her wedding too. But of course it's impossible~ I love cake, celebrations, and weddings. In fact, I've never been to one before. My dad's always going to his colleagues' weddings. >.> There's no way I can just take a break off to fly all the way to the other side of the world (Taiwan) in the middle of the year for two weeks.
If I had a wedding, I wouldn't care which continent it was in as long as the scenery was great. Maybe somewhere close to an island, with a white beach. If I were to describe my dream wedding... I wouldn't care how big or small it was. I'd just invite everyone I could think of, and see how many people would respond. And then I'd have a traditional church-type mixed with the outdoors wedding with lots of food, dessert, and formal dancing. ;D Ahaha. Romantic honeymoon directly after! Wine all around!
This reminds me of the Pirates of the Caribbean. Jack Sparrow is, unsurprisingly, my favorite character. It's been so long since I've watched the last movie that I almost forgot his ending. If I had the movie my way, he would be sailing the seas with a giant ship and a great crew. He'd be singing and drinking all day. Elizabeth would be married to James Norrington, and they'd both continue living in England. I don't care about Will, honestly. XD He can continue his blacksmith job, make a humble earning, live a happy live, and marry one of his many fangirls.
If I was a pirate, I wouldn't want to lead. I would join a huge crew with a huge ship, led by a wimpy captain. (Yes, even as a pirate, I would not like to kill. Boohoo.) I would want to be a specialized pirate. Not a doctor. Maybe a fortune teller, or some other less vital-to-the-crew job. I once roleplayed this pirate fairy (way more awesome than it sounds), and she was the ship medic. If my memory serves correct, she had fairy magic to help with the healing and control the shadows. Her background was that she was forced into piracy when her kin got killed. Unfortunately, that roleplay died out due to lack of interest.
Recently I've been hooked onto this song called Grenade. I like the lyrics too, but they're depressing. The end of the video shows Bruno Mars getting hit by a train, like how he sang. I'd jump in front of a train, for 'ya.... Except he's not getting hit for the girl in question. He just wasn't paying attention. The video doesn't matter as much as the song, though. I'm not too harsh on artists. In the youtube comments, people were all arguing about whether or not his lyrics were morally right. "So... he's just going to throw away his entire life for this one girl for no reason at all? Lame!" I actually tried singing Grenade, although the vocals went up too high for me to keep up. That's sad, considering a guy sings it; but my vocal range is narrow. I can't go much higher or lower. I've developed a kind of new respect for those Asian female artists who sing so high they can practically shatter glass. Personally I love girls with low voices. Now, confession time! Sadly, as my best friend once pointed out (this hit me particularly hard), my voice is relatively high and "preppy".
