I approached the lake as the moon came out from behind a cloud. I saw the figure of a woman I knew to be my Luna. She turned her head to face me, at which I saw that beautiful face of hers. "Hello Zephyr, may I ask why your joining me when your such a busy man?" she said as her hand teased the water. "Only to be in the presents of true beauty, my lady." I said, knowing she'd only disagree. "You know thats not true Zephyr, I'm nothing special," She said, "You may say I'm a Luna, but if I dont feel as one." "Oh, but you are, and that's why I stay away, only watching from afar. Beauty like yours only makes me afraid." "Afraid? Of what, if I may ask?" "Of them, they will turn you against me every chance they get, my love." "No no, they have no influence over me, I will always be by your side and no one will come between." I looked to the ground, hiding the tears beginning to form. "I wish I could believe you my love, but every life, you fall from me at which, I view my Luna from afar." A tear hit the ground, disappearing immediately. "Zephyr? Please dont speak like that. I'll never fall away from you. I'll always want to be with you." She said. She truly believed her words. "Its ok, my love, I too will always want to be with you.. I just hope your words ring true.." I knew she would leave. It was inevitable. I knew I was to view her from afar, soon to come. "They will, I'll PROVE you wrong." "We shall see.. And Luna? I will always be here when you call for me.. No matter what.. Call and I shall run to you.." I said, "I am glad, Zephyr. Do come sit with me for a moment?" She said with a smile. "As you wish," I said, taking my seat next to my lover.
