I have a theory as to how he will "fix" everything.. The ******** is going to kill himself... Technically erasing yourself from the timeline would erase everything you've done wrong... So yeah, he's going to kill the baby David so the Shadow King can't turn him into the David we know now... Makes sense in an Opera sort of way... I'd rather he off everyone and be done with them but.... "Good things.. Only good things"
