Somehow, Ballet has caught my attention.
It interests me because ballet confuses the hell out of me. On the dancer's bodies, I can see clean, crisp straight lines. This is not something that is normal, or should even be occurring.
Normally, the human body is a magnificent and magnanimous collection of arcs and curves that can defy the laws of physics. Every bone and muscle is placed deliberately according to billions of years ofbiology, or gods ingenious design.
However in ballet, these arcs and curves are shattered into perfect, straight lines that seem to divide the proportions of the body, and from differing perspectives, the stage being danced on itself.
This is very confusing to me, however it is still very interesting to watch,

It's not an issue of need, or even deserve. The reality is, it's an absolution of want.
