A/N: This is a poem I wrote and submitted to a contest and has been chosen to be judged in the final competition. It will be published with the other chosen works in a book titled Midnight Song which will be released sometime at the end of May, if I am not mistaken.
I am actually incredibly surprised that it was chosen, although no less happy, since I don't usually write poetry. To me, it seemed rather juvenile, but perhaps it is an endearing quality? Anyways, do please enjoy my work.

Sit With Me
Come sit with me,
Underneath my tree.
The shade is cool,
A sweet-smelling pool.
Oh, won’t you come?
Tell me where you’re from.
If only you’d come sit,
You’d see how well we fit.
