A poem written for kicks, done off the prompt 'we learn best from our mistakes'. Enjoy~!
Now You Know
Put your hands on the stove
And now you know.
You try to wear your sister's clothes
And now you know.
You hit your friend in the head
Hope to God they aren't dead,
'Cause, gee,
They really shoulda seen the ladder coming.
You eat that expired cheese
And now you know.
You lose your ring of keys
And now you know.
You run out into the street
And trip over your feet,
And gosh,
Whyever weren't your laces tied?
You do all these
And you pay the fees
But in the end,
And don't try to pretend,
You've learned your lesson,
It won't be happening again...
Anytime soon.
