Since I couldn't have Navi dead for the length of time I wanted, I've come up with an alternative. Yang, in bringing her back from the dead, has gone against the Fairies' god, Rondyl. Now Rondyl is doing everything possible to have her dead by her 61st (or now 18th) birthday. So he gives Navarnia a physically weak heart. (meaning just startling her can be dangerous) Now Navi can't fly or run as fast as she used to, and she can only walk slowly.
