My quest is over! I've collect all the Brown Paper Bags. whee This post will be here for two days and then I'll remove it.
My love for Hallowe'en prompted me to quest for Hallowe'en items. I've never quested before and went with the brown paper bags since I couldn't buy them in stores and because they looked relatively easy to obtain. Plus, I needn't worry about "it taking a long time to earn the monies." At about 5K and below, I knew I could do it and it is a treat to check mark each bag I collect off the list. I intend to quest for all the Hallowe'en items. My current hope is to finish my bag quest before this Hallowe'en and then to have the other items by next Hallowe'en. smile
I started the thread in June, but didn't officially begin the quest until about mid-June. I'm bordering on the halfway mark of my quest. While I still have eight bags to place my grubby hands around, I already have the monies for 1 and 9/10's of another. ^.^
Currently I have contests going for my bumpers. Bumpers win by claiming the right page (every 50th page to be precise), having the lucky number that randomizer.org spits out to me after I purchase a bag, and of course, by being one of the top five bumpers. So far, I've handed out 825 gold to those who held the lucky number for each bag and 500 gold to the page claimers. (Quest Bumper was kind enough to send 400 gold back to me, plus match it with his 400 gold! eek )
When people donate, they can earn 1 bump for every 2 gold, unless they request not to, and I have items for them to choose from in my mini-shop, which I opened only recently. I'm working on another itme for my mini-shop, which I think would be much nicer than the items I have already. ^^

A shame I couldn't have had that in a quote, but colouring is no longer allowed in the [ quote= " " ] part. (Less the spaces, of course. ^^ ) And blockquote doesn't work either. sad
