Seeing that my good friend Floyd has been chomping at the bit for a new G5 tower, and since I was near an Apple Store this morning, and seeing that my regular salesman grabbed my arm and dragged me to the cash register to show me just how much my discount for an end-of-life dual 2GHz G5 tower would be...
Well...
I bought one. Damn. Can't get over the price break I got. Even adding the AppleCare policy to the deal, I still saved over $500 dollars!!!! Damn. Now all I have to do is dig up a better video card and a pair of half gig memory strips for it. Oh, and I get a generic OS 10.4 updater set rather than that stupid all in one DVD with the installers for the iLife suite.
I'll be busy updating the iLife '05 and OS 10.3 software today.
I hope Floyd gets his dream computer shortly. And I hope he's as happy with his purchase as I am with mine.
