I recently cleaned up my bucket and moved a bunch of stuff so I wouldn't have this huge page load and also so everything would be in categories. My arena stuff needed to be moved as a result to it's final resting spot in its own little folder called Arena. But, that also meant I needed to delete and reload the recent pics that are on the bucket back into the arena.
I hate the arena. It was my favorite place to go when I first joined. I didn't do the message boards (a reason why even though I have been on for over a year, I have very few posts compared to others 'my age') I went to the Arena and commented and posted and voted. That's how I earned my gold, not by bumping, by voting. It was fun too, getting comments on my art was the best part for me. But now, since it's broken and has been for a few months, whatever I post gets very minimal (as in 5) votes and/or comments (more than likely only 1). I have given up on voting and commenting, myself, because it's just too much of a pain in my a** to click over ten times to get a vote in. I'm surprised I've managed to get even 2 of the reposted peices back on the site with my short attention span and patience.
My mind set, though, is that even though it takes me a hell of a long time to get these things done, I'm earning gold for it. Everytime I have to go back and push the button again I earn gold, so it's just the same as bumping, just a little faster. So really not an all bad thing, except for the lack of commenting and voting on art because most Gaians would rather bump and poll than sit in the Art Arena and hit the back button and vote button repeatedly.
I think having the Art Arena in this shape is kind of the equivalent of having a section of the forums completely down, and that's a big problem. Yet, this has remained unfixed for months now. I know they are probably working on it, I would just like a little reinforcement that the job is getting done. I mean, it's a major part of the site, it should be treated that way.

I guess I'll hold off posting anything in the Art Arena for a while then.
I wonder if they'll let us know how the repairs on the Arena are going if we ask in the Questions and Assistance Forums.... Or would that just make us annoying...? sweatdrop
