so, yeah... i went to a rock concert (my first ever) last saturday (for recordkeeping, that's 3-3-07). it, to say the least, was the s**t. i skipped my prom to go, because our school is run by dirty fascist bastards, and also because the proms and everything generally suck all around.
but, that's besides the point.
i attended the Rockstar energy drink's Taste of Chaos tour. The bands?
:Evaline
:Chiodos
:Aiden
:Saosin
:Senses Fail
:30 Seconds to Mars
:The Used
in that order.
the first two bands sucked. xp
the third was tolerable. stare
Saosin was pretty good. smile
Senses Fail and 30STM were the bomb-diggity. xd
and the Used? they're too emo. i couldn't tolerate them anymore, so i just went and bought a powerade and a water and sat down on some steps.
but when Senses Fail came on, that's when the whole ampitheatre went to s**t. MOSH! MOSH! MOSH! gonk it was insane. i got into the biggest mosh pit during their performance, and i laid some guys out, leaving them to be trampled and kicked. unfortunately, with my last pancake, i got shoved from behind at the same time i got hit, sending me to the ground with my victim. and if falling to the ground wasn't enough, i got punched in the face as i was falling. and i tore my good pants when i hit the ground knees first, effectively giving me road rash all over my knee. stare
ah, well. at least i made up a good story about how i tore my pants... how the mob suddenly shifted, and i fell, along with many others to the concrete amitheatre floor. if my parents find out what i really did, i'll probably never be able to go to a concert again. sweatdrop
and 30 Seconds to Mars was undescribable. they played their two hottest songs, "The Kill" and "From Yesterday". And in the middle of one of their other songs, their lead singer just randomly decided to throw a gallon-sized ziplock of blunts into the crowd, to "Keep you guys warm." needless to say, that signaled the "let's light it up" time, and I almost suffocated from all of the smoke (keep in mind that this is an outdoor concert. and yes, the smoke was that thick).

30STM wasnt there though, i guess at the show beofre us jared leto went to stagedive and no one caught him/ someone punched him. i heard both, and dont know which one is true. but it was crazy when senses fail played! first time ever being in a moshpit&crowdsurfing. scared the s**t outta me! but it was probably the funnesy thing ive ever done. xd cant wait til next years ToC.
