As mentioned in the Overview page, a small part of why I'm making this is also to reboot the OC's from this verse that I've used in WG, namely Alvin, Jasper, Markus, and Jasmine. After being away for so long on account of being hacked, I don't think I have it in me to have them continue their stories from before.
Alvin Wise, Hat Collector:
- Instead of the Magic Hats being originally meant for Jasmine before Alvin got a hold of them and made them part of his image, they are now his own power as he is officially the Hat Collector.
- I had planned on Alvin gradually transitioning into a face-turn after learning that Jasmine played him for a schmuck before and after he became a thief and had planned to use him as a patsy for her own purposes. But then some drama happened in the forum that I was ignorant of until it all came to a head, and ashamed, I rushed his whole "becoming a good guy" chapter so that I could just move on and forget about it. I'm just hoping I have the chance to do it better here.

Jasper Salem, Curse Collector:
- With the changes in how powers in this verse work, I had to make some serious changes with Jasper's whole "curse magnet" deal. Now I can't really have it be the result of a dying curse from someone he killed. However, unlike other Collectors who need to first interact with their specific items to even learn they have powers, Jasper was made immediately aware when the Curse Collector was passed onto him when the first significant thing he touched, the camera he used for work, became cursed (as opposed to being an already cursed camera he acquired during his work), then subsequently ripped his eyes right out of their sockets.
- Now, Jasper constantly being cursed is no longer the result of his poor decision making and obsession with the supernatural, but rather his actual power. And instead of dedicating a good chunk of his time to cleansing them out of him, he is able to just "let go" of a couple from time to time without a complicated process (portrayed through his "Professional Cleanser" ability). In more desperate times, he can even weaponize them by sticking them onto anyone who tries to mess with him (his "Curse Ridden" ability).
- The whole thing about Jasper's soul being ripped out of him, essentially killing him, if he got too many curses has been changed to just his soul being crushed from too much burden, which would put him in a catatonic state with anywhere between a few hours to a few weeks of recovery. This is the basis for his in-game Lose Condition, which is literally called "Crushed Soul".

Jasmine Dove, Dream Collector:
- In this continuity, Jasmine was never turned into a rabbit, she wasn't the latest in a bloodline of mages, and the Magic Hats were never made for her.
- The idea to make her the Dream Collector came from how I had the main hat she always had on her specifically use dream magic.
- I originally intended for her to be currently in a massive feud with her siblings over who would be the one to inherit her family's magic (think the whole contest in Wizards of Waverly Place, but with a lot more fighting, more destroying of things, and less secrecy), with Alvin only being involved through sheer circumstance. Jasmine's eldest brother just needed some really down on their luck and desperate for attention to manipulate into a being someone who'd be a massive obstacle who would hopefully gather up hats before Jasmine gets them. It was just pure coincidence that Alvin happened to be someone Jasmine went to school with.
- Jasmine and Alvin still become partners-in-crime in this continuity. She still ends up betraying him one way another, likely causing a heist of theirs to go wrong and leaving him holding the bag so to speak.
After redoing Jasmine's background, it just doesn't seem right to still have her and Alvin be heist partners. She is now also much younger than Alvin, somewhere in her late-teens, with Grant being closer to Alvin in age.
- Jasmine's real body is paraplegic following a traumatic accident when she was younger, which is the main reason she wants to always be in her dream form. She has very rarely left her home physically since gaining her powers, with the only person she really has who takes care of her being her older brother Grant.
- The main idea I have for this iteration of Jasmine as the Dream Collector is that what everyone believes is her, the blonde fairy dressed all in blue, is not actually her, but rather a projection she created from her own dreams which she is in full control of, as her real body is elsewhere, put under an extended self-imposed slumber. She maintains this form by siphoning Dreams from anyone around her that happens to be asleep, whether or not she was to put them to sleep in the first place.

Markus Grimley, Toy Collector:
- Instead of kidnapping people and turning their entire bodies into dolls, Matilda now exerts some of the influence she uses to keep Markus completely under her control onto them, sometimes dictating actions they'll take. Eventually, she'll be able to take their souls, which will then be placed into various Toys that Markus makes so that'd she'd "play with her new friends forever". This is now what has been done to Markus himself instead of having his body be turned into a life-sized marionette over a long period of time, he just had his soul placed into one.
- Markus was originally the "Doll Collector" because of the whole dollifying business, but I decided to change it to "Toys" since the broader term would give me a lot more to work with.
- Despite being the one players control in-game, Markus is not the true Toy Collector, Matilda is. Markus is actually her first victim and, in-story, is just another item in her collection. That being said, stats and abilities are still all him.
- Originally, I didn't like how one-note I wound up making Markus with him only caring about his daughter and nothing else. I felt I may have written myself into a corner in giving Matilda a larger role than him. I'm still on the fence on whether the changes made here helped fix that.
- In WG, I lightly implied that the real Matilda was an evil spirit possessing a doll rather than a straight up demon possessing a doll by calling her a "haunted doll" rather than a "possessed doll". But since I wanted the first four characters of this game to use different Categories and Jasper already took Occult, I decided to make her an actual demon this time..
