So, I contacted Rynn about continuing our RP, "The Bridesmaid". She said she'd be willing to. However, I haven't heard from her since. This got me thinking about what's happened in our story so far. More has happened since I last posted about it. So, here's an update on The Bridesmaid.

Maddy has picked Stacy up, and taken her to the Buttercup cake shop. Samantha and Steph are there as well, so now it's time to taste some cakes. The owner, named Lucy, brings out a bunch of small cakes for them all to try.

However, things go quickly awry when Stacy stands there and doesn't eat anything. After the workout she had this morning, she doesn't want her efforts to go to waste by pigging out here. And the condescending glares from perfect-bodied Steph make her more uncomfortable.

Hormones take control of Samantha at that moment, and she gets really emotional over her friend not eating the cake. The mood spreads to everyone in the store, as both Maddy and the store owner get mad as well. Stacy bursts into tears, as she shovels the cakes into her mouth. At that moment, she contemplates whether or not the entire world is against her.

Everyone calms down when Samantha does. She apologizes for that episode, and things return to semi-normality. (Maddy still had to drag Stacy into the bathroom, and snap her out of it.) They continue their time in the shop deciding on a flavor for the wedding cake. They go with strawberry crème, and now just need a style.

Stacy likes one style for the cake, but Steph likes the other. Sammy cuts off the conflict early by reminding them that she has 3000 guests. They can make two cakes with each design.

However, the bickering doesn't stop there. Steph gloats to Stacy about her body. Stacy retorts by commenting about how her beauty is fake, as it all came from plastic surgery. Steph is angered and asserts that she is naturally beautiful. And yet she still got those implants, Stacy reminds her. If she was beautiful in the first place, why get the surgery?

Maddy snaps out of a sugar high she had from too much cake, in order to stop their arguing there.

Samantha has finished signing some papers with Lucy, and now has some wedding cakes on the way. Her next stop is the maternity shop. She wants to find some nice maternity clothes she can wear. Of course, Samantha remarks about how she's "gonna be huge", which silently bothers Stacy. She is reminded of her weight problem by this comment.

Of course, Stacy had previously brought up going to the hobby shop to see what they had. Though when Steph remarked that she was outvoted, Samantha decides that they will go to the hobby shop first, before the maternity shop.

Steph allows them all to ride in her limo to their destinations. And of course, both Stacy and Steph try to sit by Samantha. She can't handle the tension, and barely has any room to breathe, so she sits by Maddy instead. Stacy and Steph must now be beside each other for the whole trip.

They make it to the hobby shop, and we have a short scene here. Samantha and Stacy spend some time together, and we learn that Sammy likes doing puzzles with her fiancée. This, of course, gives a lurking Steph an idea.

The four gals go to the maternity shop next. Throughout the entire trip, Stacy has a feeling of dread. She tries to calm herself down, through repeating phrases like, "Today is a happy day." in her head repeatedly. And while that doesn't seem to work, her stress is partially relieved when she gets lost and can't find Samantha.

It is there that we see Steph, looking at a maternity dress in sadness. She appears to have the same dread that Stacy does. Perhaps they are both suffering from the same thing underneath, and they aren't so different after all? For a brief moment, they look at each other with pity, rather than disdain.

Our unloved protagonist does make it back to Samantha eventually. She notices that Stacy looks pale, and checks her for a fever. Stacy just gives her an exaggerated grin, and says she's alright.

That's where the story ends for now. I really want to continue this, but it doesn't look like that is possible. Oh, well. I'll turn this into a book, and decide what happens next on my own. I hope Rynn doesn't mind. But until then...
