Personality: Solitary, but very social and easy to have a conversation with. While she is relatively bubbly, out of necessity she keeps to herself to avoid being detected or hunted by the humans that live nearby, but should anyone wander into her home, she's kind and courteous. She tends to be overtly flirty and outgoing when she isn't at home, say a neighboring human town's tavern. She's often the one that starts songs and buys rounds and gets the place going if it's been a slow day.
Powers and Abilities: Galanor has the power to produce and manipulate fire, and can shift between human, half-human, and dragon forms. She prefers at all times to remain in a fully-draconic state and only takes half-form (or seldom, human form) when it's necessary for her to, such as in cramped spaces. The only reason she would take human form would be to avoid detection of her true nature, though it's possible that races other than humans can detect what she really is even when disguised. Half-form is used primarily when space is tight, but battle is anticipated.
Despite being a "fire dragon," unlike a true elemental, she is not made of or intricately bound to the element. She is like any other dragon and isn't weak against water, nor is she surrounded by constant flame. Ice, however, is her deadly weakness. The reason for this is that her dragons' blood is as hot as magma, and should a large amount of ice be introduced into the bloodstream, it would instantly vaporize and wreak havoc on the circulatory system, causing massive hemorrhage and possibly death.
Location and Habitat: Galanor lives atop a tall, snow-capped mountain in the deepest parts of Gaia. Her lair is a large cave system within the mountain which is mostly natural, but she excavated a few of the passages herself. The main entrance of the cavern is on top of the mountain and leads into a large chamber with a small lake of water and a waterfall spilling from the back. The water empties further down the mountain into a small river. She does hoard treasures like stereotypical dragons do, but instead of gold and silver and jewels, she collects many things, most of which have only scholarly value. She has an extensive library, which contains most of her collected treasures - astrolabes, old nautical compasses, spyglasses, quills and scrolls, globes and maps, tapestries, and anything else ancient and fascinating. Unlike others of her species, though, none of her treasures are stolen. Most were gifts from people she met during one of her frequent adventures, and others were items that she bought or traded for.
