Dream time! I don't mean that in the sense that both you and I should just topple over our monitors sleeping, but in the sense that I will be sharing my dream with you folks. I had a particularly long one, and since I did not want to forget I wrote it down as soon as I woke up. So here goes:
My dream is very strange. I have no questions about where it came from. The Orphan. Maybe it's because I rewatched part of it a couple months back? I dunno really... compared to all the other horror movies I've watched, the Orphan is definitely not the top of my "most scary movies" list. It's a little bit different, but goes along the same plot. So at my house, I just know that we have adopted this little girl. She looks like a little angel, and my mother dotes on her. But then I started to figure out ( I am not sure when I started to figure it out) that she was dangerous, a crazed murderer.
I ran away from my house and jumped onto the wall, running along it. I see a highway and my mother driving in her car. I call out to her, "Do I REALLY have to go home?" and she says yes. A couple of my friends' houses appear on the other side of the fast lane and I see them waving to me. As my sister is approaching me from my left, I call out to them if I can stay over at their place. My sister begins to empty a vase filled with a person's ashes out onto the road. I suddenly see my mother next to me mourning for someone, and she cries out angrily. My sister laughs, my friends reject me, and I am dragged back to the house by my sister. She doesn't believe me when I tell her that the orphan is dangerous.
I am filled with intense dread and fear of seeing the orphan. I quickly pull my sister into the bedroom we used to share. We are talking when suddenly a knock comes at our bedroom door. I fling it open for a second before slamming it back shut. Standing there was a small little girl with dark holes for eyes, a small little smile, and blood everywhere. She is holding a long knife in her hand. I feel resistance against the door as I attempt to shut it. My sister starts panicking as well and helps me press against the door, except that the little girl was powerful. It seemed like a closet was right behind me. Before I knew it, my body was laying horizontally. My feet were pressed into the closet's interior wall, and I was using the force of that to press firmly against the door. The girl keeps on trying to get in. My feet kept on sliding on the surface, and a couple of times she almost did enter.
The door had a built in window, and it was broken by my sister. She had shoved a chair into the glass, somehow "jamming" it. The orphan gave us an angry look and stalked off. We both waited a bit before coming out of the room. (When we came out of my room, the chair turned into some kind of rabbit stuffed animal hanging in the door frame. It looked like my art project... strange.) My mom arrived home. My sister and I grabbed both her arms and ran to the bathroom, locking it.
My sister was very frantic. She was whispering, but her whispers were so loud it was as if she were hissing them instead. At that moment I somehow knew that I had this dream before. Still I treated "this" as reality, because you never know you are dreaming when you are dreaming. I hushed my sister going "the last time the orphan was eavesdropping! Quiet!" However, she did not listen to me. My mother was convinced though. And the orphan was eavesdropping.
That's where I left off.
I think I know where the mourning came from, though... a close family friend died not two days ago.
