Part VIII
Now for my glory lap in highschool
there werent really any courses I wanted to take, so I just took a bunch of bird courses. I took 2 co-ops (where u get credits for actually going to a place of employment ie. vets office) my first one was at a nursing home, because i love my grandparents so much and love to help them out i decided i try it out to see if that was what i wanted to go to college for. I loved it there, old people are so funny and have such great experiences to share (I highly recomend u spend more time with ur grandparents, ull be surprised at what u will learn, and u wont always have the time to do it tomorow, they may be gone, so spend all the time u can with ur loved ones, dont neglect them) but it turned out it wasnt for me. I didnt particularly like having to give orders to my elders, i was always taught to respect ur elders, do what we say etc. ( u know what im tlking about wink ) i also didnt like the idea that i would be in some way responsible for there lives, thats something i just couldnt handle if i did something wrong and it turned out bad. I also took a computer course that semester.
the next semester i co-oped at a kindergarted class, quite the opposite of a nursing home, but kinda fell into that position. I loved the kids they were so cute and funny and just had interesting things to say at the wierdest moments. but again it wasnt for me, kids tend to see me as another kid, so im not very authoritive for them. also couldnt stand seeing them pick there nose and eat it! Ick! lol
also took grade 12 art again that year got a fantastic mark and had fun, im a bit of an artist i do mostly portraits so if ur curious u can check out my stuff on the art forums or go to my deviantart account which i will post on my profile
by the first couple months of my second semester i knew what i loved most. BOOKS!! and what better place to be surrounded by books for a career then to be a librarian!
so i went in search of schools to be a librarian. and it turned out that it is a total of 6 yrs of school to become one. and im just to damn lazy to do that let alone the cost of what that would have been. so thru my searching i found that there was a 2 yr program that i could take to be a library technician, which turns out that this was a better fit for me, more hands on work. this is gettin kinda long so if u wanna know the difference between the 2 please dinoogle it smile
I applied to the only 2 schools in ontario that had the program i wanted and since i was accepted to both, chose the one in ottawa. also thought it would be a great way to meet boys wink (tho dont go to college to only meet boys!! it just a bonus to ur own education)
thats it for this im done highschool, but since this was only last year i remember things better, so will have the next one be the summer of `09
see ya next time!!
