“Magical love potions?” I said, my tone sounded breathless and incredulous. The last thing I needed right now. If it had to be magical, why was the subject love? I groaned and put my head down on the desk. Then, I felt the girl’s hand on my left shoulder. “My name is Hina,” She said in an educated tone and her voice sounded like she held something back. “I am a recent student here in this school, a freshman. What troubles you?” I read a smile as she said her kind words to me. The light was still on, so when I gazed up at Hina, all I could do was wince as the light hit my eyes. Hina and I chatted for awhile, deciding on whether to even to call the star of the documentary hot or not. They eventually turned off the lights and that was a relief. My eyes still hurt. But now a horrible smell was in the air. I recognized it from a long time ago. The stench of popcorn and butter filled the air around me and I inhaled some of it and I gagged instantly. I hated this stench with all my heart. Or at least, the part Gabriel hadn’t already consumed. Hina laughed at me and covered her mouth to muffle her laugh. The movie had already started and we weren’t allowed to talk, so says the magical board that writes on itself. Hina gave a thoughtful expression. “Yeah. We’re studying love potions, or the legend behind them at least. Some people believe in that. Can you believe it?” I had covered my nose when she spoke to me. I let go, wincing as the stench overwhelmed me. “No. I can’t say I do.” I lied. It was then that the movie started. I saw the logo for twentieth century Fox and it began on a brief explanation on how Magic was supposedly used on people. I scoffed at the screen and turned around, not wanting to watch that disgraceful movie. How is it possible that humans could be so interested in us? Because we possess unparalleled strength? I wasn’t sure if they admired us or if they were just interested in our magical ability… As the movie neared its end, my face gave a livid expression. Gabriel had walked past the door, carrying an indifferent expression on his face that I saw through the tiny window on the door. Just one look made me want to cry and unfortunately, Hina noticed. She gave me a frown and noticed through my tearful eyes what I felt. I saw her get up and say something to the teacher as I held my chest to keep from falling apart. It looked like they were arguing, then Hina got fed up and grabbed me gently by the wrist and I followed her instinctively through the door. I heard the teacher slam her fist on the door and Hina led me through one of the exits of the school. I looked at my surroundings and stopped the moment I began. I closed my eyes and let Hina take the lead. Then she stopped. I was afraid to open my eyes, but I wanted to see where I was. My eyes finally opened after a certain amount of strain and I saw a forest enveloped my surroundings. How beautiful. It was dark and it looked like it was sunset already. How long have we been walking? Hina let go of my arm and I took advantage to look at the time. It read six thirty-seven in the afternoon. I heard the trees’ leaves whistle as the wind slowly moved them and the leaves gave a gentle whirl and landed softly on the grass. My head turned to Hina now. She was looking at me, her expression hidden in a fake smile, probably still worried. “Take a look at the river in front of us. It’s quite entertaining, actually.” She said, her smile widened and it looked like she was trying not to worry me. I raised and eyebrow at her expression and looked into the crystal clear water of the river in front of me. My Magic was now running amuck inside my head, making me see my life through third person view and I saw how I slowly fell in love with Gabriel. I was sitting in a private bus in the third row and when we stopped by an apartment complex, we stopped to wait for him. I remembered at first I didn’t look at him not knowing who he was, but when I did he was sitting next to me looking directly into the windshield with his ipod on and his headphones on his ears. Then, everything went black and I saw him in the school uniform, signaling with his hand to come to him. Then a bright light led me back to reality. I was kicking and screaming on the floor when I came back from the little world I had created. A vision… that made me fall asleep? This
