Side Note (Re: Journal Page Title) : I have a story I have been writing off and on for a few years (sometimes even forcing myself to, which is why this got written), and thus, I am very in tune with my characters (who apparently don't like the forcing part). Sometimes, they are the ones to "write" their parts, and I merely play the hands on the keyboard.
Waiting here for a friend
Even though the story ends
Without resolution, the characters wander
Their hearts and minds, torn asunder
Thrown into oblivion
A character left with a rose
Bloodstained tears upon his nose
A world he dreamed of, lost
Because the book, its pages tossed
At the crucial moment, when
He had to choose: himself, or friend?;
The protector's heart will never mend,
Torn apart by story's end
Heroes now, and heroes then
Walked away from inconclusive end
Forsaking the writer's words
Setting them free, free as birds
A story takes flight again
Waiting for the right time when,
The pages, again beginning
Will be written, flowing and willing
Even though the story ends
Without resolution, the characters wander
Their hearts and minds, torn asunder
Thrown into oblivion
A character left with a rose
Bloodstained tears upon his nose
A world he dreamed of, lost
Because the book, its pages tossed
At the crucial moment, when
He had to choose: himself, or friend?;
The protector's heart will never mend,
Torn apart by story's end
