So I got paid Friday! And the amount was to my liking. >D Opened a checking account with TD Bank and went to get a few things. I spent a lot since Friday o.o' Almost 200 in a few days, but bought things I needed AND made sure I was paying the lowest price possible.
I bought 4 cases of Pepsi each with 12 cans in em for $11. Why do I NEED them? For work xD duh. I was buying a case when possible but this will last me like 2 months of work drinking. Need soda for lunch. I guess a lot of soda isn't good but seriously it's not as bad as it sounds. I often compensate with juice or water when possible. Bought a case of water bottles too so I'm good on that part too.
Also bought a 50 pack of CD cases which I needed since I've been downloading a lot of series and what not like some animes but also downloaded Rugrats, Invader Zim, and Hey Arnold series. Why? I miss the original Nickelodeon. Can you blame me? Ah well ******** you. Anyway now I have places to put the CDs and build my collection. Looking good so far.
I got this er.. forgot the name of it... It's like a platform for your televsion and has some glass doors underneath for a VCR or DVD player. Anyway I got that for free. A friend of my friend was gonna give it to him but he didn't want it so I took it.
Another big purchase I made was for a pull-up bar I've been meaning to get. You attach it to your doorway and can use it for pull-ups, place it on the bottom of the doorway and it'll hold your legs for sit ups, place it on the floor and you can do push-ups or dips! That was like $30-40 just the pull up bar and have been trying to get it for a while. Now that I got a job, I looked for it and didn't find it. Went to Kmart by Jo-Anns after work and found it but it was a triple pack. It came with the pull-up bar, these rotating handle things for push-ups, and these straps you attach to the pull-up bar which holds you up in the air and you lift your lower half up to work your abs.
Now then, this price was $50 but I figured I'll go back to it later and see if they have it cheaper anywhere else. Went to Walmart and whatnot but no luck. Then went to Sports Authority, which is like this huge store that has to do with nothing but exercise equipment or outdoor stuff like fishing, biking, swimming gear, etc., and found the pull-up bar there. But the price was $80! I told the guy it was cheaper at Kmart and he said I needed proof. I asked him what kind of proof like a picture or something, and he said yea. So I asked what else counts as proof other than a picture, something easier to get and he went to speak to his manager. The manager just said screw it and sold it to me for $50. Good thing about this was the quality. Kmart had it but had only one left and the box was opened a bit. This one was in perfect condition so yea I saved money since the straps and the push-up rotating things are $20 each and the pull up was at $40.
And NOW today I bought a wireless mouse and keyboard together for $30 at Kmart from iHome which is associated with Apple. Using it now and no problems. I love it! I checked other stores of course cause I had seen it at Kmart sometime before but they were like $60+ and the cheaper ones, which were liek $40, were crap brands. I can trust Apple.
So yea I've spent a lot but on necessities. "oh well... what good is money if its just going to sit there?" - Sam. And it's true. I'm gonna hold back on big purchases for a while til my next paycheck or so but for the most part I'm very happy with my purchases so far. Stretching every dollar. Finding the lowest prices possible. Bought a few groceries too so I can now officially afford to chip in. So yea, life's good. mrgreen
