I remember. God, I remember that time in my life like it was yesterday. I was so out of control and bent out of shape. I was filled with rage. I couldn't forget, even did I want to. I won't forget....just to prevent it from ever happening again.

This song meant so much to me. And it still means so much to me. I would listen to it over and over again, screaming it until my voice broke. It would ease the rage, the barbs retracting for just a bit.

It wasn't the only song, but it was one of the main ones.

And it's been helping me this week, too.

I taught myself to let my anger go. It's the best lesson I ever learned. It kept me sane and it kept me whole.

I smiled and laughed so much tonight, my heart joyous. I made others around me smile and laugh with me. I'm back. Thank you, God, I'm back.
