Years with Low Key: 6 months
Ethnicity: Romanian/Irish
Languages: English, Romanian, German, French, Greek, Hungarian, Ukrainian and Russian
Accents: Slight Romanian when too excited to focus as that's where she was raised.

There's one last one tattooed on her left hip, which stands for "Protection." A scar from her right shoulder to her left hip from the car accident where the seat belt cut in too deeply.
Clothing: She prefers olive green and khaki cargo pants and black shirts, sweaters and t-shirts depending on weather and season. Dresses appropriately when necessary for special occasions.
History: Dacia was born in the largest city of Romania, called Bucharest, in Sector Five. Her father was a young Irish man, no older than 20 who was backpacking across the continent before attending a University in Dublin. Her mother was an older woman in her 40's who ran a hostel for travelers. One simple night of passion and she was conceived. Her father left the next day and her mother went on with her life. Until she found out she was pregnant. It was something she hadn't even expected, not at her age but she embraced the gift of her daughter with grace. She never told the father.

When Dacia was six years old, a group of drunken kids arrived at the Hostel; because they were drunk, her mother attempted to turn them away. Her mother was in her early 50's by then and weaker than she'd been just a few years ago. So when they started to push her around she wasn't able to fight back very much. She died that night. For two years she drifted around in the warm cocoon of her mother’s friends. Even at eight years old Dacia understood what was happening to her and that eventually, it would get worse. So she left and by that time she was in Sector 3.

For the next eight years of her life she lived in the streets until she met a few other children at age 10 and discovered an abandoned building where at least twenty other children were living in the care of three older teenagers. By that time, Dacia was skilled in stealing and doing what was necessary in order to survive, such as cons and car theft. Living there was like living under a strict dictator; everything she stole was to be given to the teenagers and she was left with a measly 5%. The same went for all of the other children.

Dacia stole her first car when she was 13 years old and though it was exhilarating, the real high was driving the car through the streets and out-running the police chasing her. The teenagers called her a natural and upped her ante, giving her 8% instead of 5. The years went by quickly and only twice was Dacia unable to successfully get away and both times she was punished by the three in charge. Sometimes it was a beating, sometimes she was locked in a room. It varied on how angry they were. But no matter how angry, the teenagers made certain of one thing. Within a week of meeting them all, they began her education with all the others.

At 17 she was involved with some of the older kids, now teenagers, who were planning a very large heist. A bank robbery, where at least 2 million U.S dollars were being held for a charity event being held in Sector 2. Because of her skill with driving, she was the designated get-away person. At first everything was going well, the small group, at most 8, excluding herself. They’d kept most of the people inside as hostages and as it wasn’t expected they’d entered the bank without problem. Getting the money was easy, as was getting it out of the bank. It was when they’d gotten in the car that things started to go wrong.

More police than she’d ever seen were on their tale and with her team mates yelling at her to go faster, it was hard to concentrate. For the most part she managed to evade though it was only long enough to drop her team and their goods off. She had to flee quickly again when she was sure her team would be safe so she could lose the car. But fate was not as kind to her as it could have been, much as it hadn’t been throughout her whole life. One wrong turn and only a moment’s hesitation and she felt something slam into her shoulder and stomach. The shock of the pain caused her to swerve violently and she hit another car and was immediately unconscious.

However, before the police could get to her, she was pulled out of the vehicle by another person. When she woke up nearly two days later and after surgery to remove the bullets, she was introduced to the Sponsor who explained to her that her Team’s heist interrupted a trail run by a guild called Low Key. Months later, she joined the guild, leaving behind her life in Romania.

Knowing that her father was Irish, she dropped her given name the year she left to be on her own and took on an Irish name. She's never encountered her father and has no desire to do so.
Personality: Dacia is the kind of girl who knows there is no such thing as black and white, merely different shades of gray. Often she referred to it as the shadow world. Outwardly she seems to take everything at face value but she knows better than that. Everything is analyzed until she comes to a conclusion that makes sense. She's a very straight forward type of person and doesn't exactly know how to joke. She takes almost everything seriously and half the time doesn't understand when a joke is being made. Over the years on her own she's learned not to let things anger her as often it just led to unnecessary fights, fights she couldn't win. Dacia doesn't know how to except help when it's offered or how to ask for it; pretty much you have to give her no choice in the matter. She's never really pitied herself and doesn't think of herself as unlucky because of her past. It's simply the way life was for her. She's accepted that and moved on.
Strengths: Quick mind, fast on her feet. Knows how to talk herself out of a situation and is very good for public appearances. She's the last person one would expect to do what she does. Immensely loyal to those she considers her allies.
Weaknesses: Needles; she has a large, illogical fear of needles. She's never had any self-defense classes so she's still learning how to fight and has classes every morning at 5am. Sometimes overly-confident.
Biggest Secret: She has a immense desire to go fast, in everything. Fast cars, fast jobs, fast relationships. She loves to speed and often times takes more risks than is necessary, usually putting herself in danger.

Name: Destry Adair Pace
Age: 17 (18 in 3 weeks)
DOB: 01/01/1995
Gender: Female

Appearance:
Her hair is just long enough to tie back, barely and the blond strands often fall loose if she does opt to put it up. Her eyes range from a rich hazel to a pale, yellow green, though usually ending towards the green side of the scale. She's rather short, standing only at 5'3 and weighs about 111lbs. She's naturally tan, a blessing and a curse from her fathers side of the genealogical mix. She's got the lithe build of a runner, giving her body an almost boyish appeal.

History:
Destry was born in a city east of Brittany, France, in the Capital Rennes.

Aside from being epically shy and what she's termed her hallucinations, she had a very normal, loving upbringing in her family. She's the youngest of 5 children, with 1 sister and 3 brothers.

When she first realized that nobody could see what she could, she stopped talking about it to her parents. She was eight years old. They hadn't believed her anyway, simply assuming it was the wild imagination of a child. Eventually she stopped mentioning it because they didn't believe her and even at her ripe age she knew they would send her away if she persisted in getting them to believe. It was around that time that Destry, a relatively hyper, confident child, became shy, always afraid she would be rejected. As she grew older she became even more shy, especially when her parents took her out of a private academy and put her into a public school.

She was taken advantage of within the first month after the other kids realized how smart she was. One girl in particular pretended to be her friend so that Destry would do her homework. More than happy to have a friend, Destry complied. However, the moment the pair were found out, the other girl attempted to put all of the blame onto Destry, claiming that Destry had forced her into copying. The teacher didn't believe it at all as the girl had already had failing grades to begin with.

As a sort of solace to herself, Destry took up running as a way to vent. Eventually it became just another way to have fun and the people on the team were a bit friendlier to her, though none of them really considered her a friend. Anyway, she was fast, taking 2nd in a national competition.

By the time she was 13 Destry had learned to think that most of the time, when she saw the "auras" around certain people, it was in her best interest to stay away from them as they tended to give her looks that she didn't fully understand and was drawn to them.

Because of her constant studying she managed to graduate from school a semester early. As a gift, at least, that's what her parents called it, they gave her a one-way ticket to some middle ground for the world with many different cultures, languages and customs. They said it was called Ilsa. They told her she could finish her education in the major University there. She hadn't wanted to go but her parents forced her. So now she's on Ilsa in a flat her parents apparently pre-rented for her. She was told to spend the next month enjoying herself before looking for a job and putting out college applications, the reason being she isn't 18 for another 3 weeks. She speaks fluent English though it's obvious she's from French origins because of her accent.

Your Character:
First Name: Anwyn Danae
Surname: Pace
Gender: Female

Age: 18
Height: 5'3
Mark: Blind in the right eye so her eyes are different colors. Right eye is gray while the left is an amber-red.

Occupation: Student
Status: Guardian.
Degree: 3rd.
Class: 5th Grade
Powers: Extreme Healing Empathy. Anwyn has the ability to not only understand and feel another's pain but to completely take away that pain or wound with just a touch. The cost? It then becomes her pain or injury, no matter how dangerous it might be. She doesn't even need to touch you if the injury is bad enough.

Orientation: Straight
Relationship: No

Personality:
You could almost say she has the personality of a she-wolf, meaning once you get close to her, she'll protect you until you're healthy or strong enough to do it on your own. For the most part she's pretty easy going and has learned to catch the curve balls life might throw at her. She couldn't be called a joker exactly, more like she tends to take things one day at a time and prefers to take things as they come. She doesn't let the little things bother her. Laughter is something she enjoys, especially if it's at a particularly good joke or story. Her anger, though hard to rouse, is very sharp and loud. She has no qualms about physically venting her anger in activities such as running or martial arts. She's almost scared of herself when she's angry because she knows it wouldn't be hard to turn from a punching bag to a person and hurt them. She tends to zone a little when left to her own devices and has sometimes been called a day-dreamer, though she's actually a very down-to-earth individual. Her powers worry her as she's had little to no experience in using or controlling them. It just sort of happens. She fears that one day it will kill her but never lets it show. Nobody else knows how scared she is of that prospect. It's the reason she takes life one day at a time and tries to live to the best of her abilities.

Biography:
Anwyn really didn't have a dramatic childhood. She was born on December 31st to a couple who weren't quite as loving as they could have been to each other, but were doting enough to her. She's an only child. Life was pretty normal until she hit 15. That was the first time it happened, the first time she took somebody's injury onto herself. She didn't fully understand how it happened. She and a friend had been walking down a set of stairs and her friend, Jessica, had lost her footing, stumbling badly enough to twist her ankle. Anwyn, having a little experience with twisted ankles because of her Karate, had bent over to look at it. Within moments of touching the ankle, her own left ankle began to hurt and swell while Jessica complained of no more pain. After a couple of hours of puzzling about it she simply brushed it off as sympathy pains; she'd never had them that badly before but she didn't really think anything of it. Numerous times something similar to this happened and she always brushed it off, not even bothering to tell her parents. Until about a year ago. As part of a school project, Anwyn had volunteered to go to a retirement home. She was charged with the entertainment of a WWII Veteran who'd had his right eye doused with a blast of poison in a surprise attack. Without giving her a chance to pull away he'd quite suddenly grabbed her hand and forced her to touch his useless right eye while muttering about the "Damned Nazi and Jap bastards." He promptly passed into sleep. Again, withing minutes of touching him, Anwyn's own eyesight dimmed in her right eye and the Iris turned a pale gray though somehow she'd managed to avoid the physical scarring. Unlike before, this new injury was not as fleeting as the others. She never regained sight in her right eye. The moment she told her parents what happened they began to hire a private tutor for her, one who could teach her at the very least a certain level of control. The tutor did help to a degree but eventually her parents sent her to Burnridge. As as a precaution she always wears gloves. Anwyn spent so much time learning control that she actually didn't think about how to train with her right side blind. She hopes to learn a bit more about that at this new school of hers.

Extra:
Has a large fear of thunderstorms.

Your Character:
First Name: Torin Cayden
Surname: O'Rourke
Gender: Male

Age: 20
Height: 6'1
Mark: A small kanji tattoo behind his left ear that stands for "Protection and Security."

Occupation: Student
Status: Guardian
Degree: 3rd
Class: 6th Grade
Powers: He can control the dark and shadows. If in a bright room and incised enough to fight, he can make the room pitch black and see perfectly fine while disabling his victim. He's learned to move soundlessly to perfect this attack. If he feel like being particularly cruel, he can trap that person in their own shadow, making it impossible to move or attack, stuck in an inky, palpable darkness.

Orientation: Straight
Relationship: No; ex-girlfriend is Anwyn

Personality:
He isn't exactly a mean person, not by any means, but his cold, stand-offish personality makes it hard to get near him. However, once you do put in the effort to learn about him, you realize he's actually a very fun, out-going kind of person. He doesn't think he's all that but he knows he's pretty strong and doesn't hesitate to let others know if they start something. Torin likes to laugh a lot and has no problem doing so if he thinks something is funny, especially if he's around friends. He's got what some of the teachers might call a lazy personality, not doing what isn't absolutely necessary, but that's not all true. He doesn't do what he doesn't need to, simply because he doesn't need to. Homework and such things are a waste to him and he's purely interested in training. If not doing the homework gives him back grades but a punishment that involves some sort of training, he's totally fine with that, as he wants to be stronger, strong enough to protect those around him. He's a very loyal, loving and caring person once you get to know him. He's protective as hell of his friends and anyone else who happens to be under his protection.

Biography:
His parents were teachers at Burnridge though they were originally Guardians before they started teaching. The left the position of Guardian because of Torin. They hadn't wanted him to be in any danger when he was so young. But danger still found them when he turned sixteen. A student had lost complete control of his powers and turned into a roamer. As a threat to all the other students on campus, his parents had immediately stepped in to handle it. But they had misjudged the roamers ability; they did manage to dispose of her but they got themselves killed in the process. Torin tries not to think about it but sometimes he'll hear his friends or just some of the other students talking about their parents; he'll feel angry and jealous, wishing his were there as well. His friends know about his parents and therefore, out of respect for him, refrain from speaking about parental matters when he's around. Since he was sixteen when they died, the school decided to allow him to stay there instead of sending him to any other relatives, though they hadn't been able to find any in any case.A year ago, Anwyn arrived at Burnridge. He was immediately attracted to her and managed to convince her to go out with him. He thought her tendencies of being late were amusing her and power greatly interested and terrified him. Though he knows nothing about her fear of dying, he understood enough that if she wasn't careful she could kill herself with that healing business. After about six or so months of dating, he slowly began to realize that although he was attracted to her, his constant worry about her was nothing more than the worry for a friend, not for a girl-friend. He cared for her but not in the way he had originally thought. Telling her this, he was not surprised when she had simply smiled at him and said she had realized that a while ago. Chagrined, he broke the relationship off but is now close friends with her, helping her with things when she can't go to anyone else. Like the seizures she gets after using her powers too much.

Extra:
He desperately wants to become a Guardian so he can protect others from Roamers and stray demons.

Name: Dawson Elle Ride
Age: 25
DOB: 31/10/1987
Gender:Female

Appearance:
Dawson is about 5'6 and weighs 118 pounds. Fairly pale skinned with dark, ebony like hair that hangs in loose curls to the middle of her back. Pale blue eyes. There's an almost ageless look in her eyes and it's hard to fathom what it means. Delicate boned and slender, her height is the only "big" thing about her.

xxxx

History:
Dawson was born and raised in Suffolk, England. Her family was rather normal as she had only her mother and father. Her father was a Deacon at one of the local parishes and her mother worked as a seamstress from home.

From the time she was a child and her mother was first teaching her, Dawson had a passion for baking; anything from the smallest of cookies to he most complex of pastries, she loved to do it. And it was what she fully intended to go to University for. Until she met him. He swept her off her feet with a prince like grace that was not lost on her. She'd never met anyone like him before, strong and beautiful and gentle. And loving. He loved her, made her feel like a fairytale princess and gave her everything she could ask for. He even took her to America to get married!

So when he hit her the first time and instantly apologized, claiming it was an accident, though stunned, she accepted and understood. Accidents happened after all. The second time, still confused, she let him get away with it again. And then it kept happening; when she made the smallest mistake to when she unwittingly humiliated him in front of people. After two years of a marriage filled with abuse, she couldn't take it anymore. A divorce was impossible with the kind of clout he wielded and no one would believe her story about abuse.

It was surprisingly easy to fake her own death, to make it seem like she'd gone through a guardrail on a mountain pass. No remains to be found, nothing. She wasn't born Dawson Elle Ride but it's the identity she assumed. As a child, her mother had told her about Ilsa, a relative safe haven against bad weather, figuratively speaking. And so here she is, on the island and finally, finally living her dream. She's got her own bakery and works hard. Rarely does she think about her past and can only hope to not get caught. Because if she does, and he finds her, he really will kill her.
