(this entry is pretty much just an explanation on where my RPCs Nero, Arcia, and Cid work. also, this info is/can be used as a setting for an RP)

the Magdalene Order was founded pretty much to protect people from demons, devils, monsters, ghosts, poltergeists(sp), vampires, or anything along those lines.
at first glace, it seems like a catholic school, with a few churches among the grounds, which some of the buildings are. having schools, dorms for the exorcist of different classes, churches, a library(sp), its almost exactly like a catholic bordering school. but looking around, you'll find a few tell signs that it is in fact a holy order (a few target practice ranges, a weapons lab, etc...)
some people who are in the Magdalene order are exorcists‘, while some aren’t.
an exorcist is the one going out to kill the demon, or devil, or even humans...if they pose a threat to others. the authority over others and certain privileges offered, varies with different ranks of exorcists‘. ranging from a class 3 to class 1 exorcist (excluding new recruits/assistants). one step above a class 1 exorcist is the militia. basically the only way to become an operative(sp) in the militia, is to be class 1, apply for it, then show your skills to the commander. if you’ve the skill, or enough to pass, your in the militia.
class 3-- basically just a new recruit that has officially become an exorcist. only weapon privileges are, standard issued .45s with sacreds as ammo, angels(type of barrier, explanation on weapons later), and holy water vials. others are, access to parts of the Magdalene library that civilians aren’t allowed to use. but still, there is a limit to how far they can go. other than that...not much
class 2-- one step above class 3. seen as upperclassmen to class 3 (per se). weapons allowed to use are, standard issued .45s with either sacreds, or gospels as ammo, spirits, holy water vials, and others...other privileges are better access to library archives, is trusted to be left out of the gates after a certain hour, weather on a mission, or waiting for one.
class 1-- other than the militia, class 1 is the highest. can use just about any weapon there. has even further access to the library. has a small research budget in their name. and has access to an underground training facility without supervision of any higher ups. better accommodations, and housing. pretty much better everything...
Militia-- the best of the best. the elite of the Magdalene order. the only difference between class 1, and the militia is, the militia has a rather large research budget, or funds. the can under go investigations of their own, and still have the recourses of the Magdalene order at their disposal. even can stay in a separate state than the Magdalene order, for years, and still actually be in the Magdalene order. has even greater access to library archives (though there is still areas only higher ups are allowed to use)
non exorsists-- are usually just people that have been admitted for the schools. but can also consist of civilians who felt they needed temporary protection from someone(or something). or very important people (like a representative to a particular place, or whatever)
--weapons--
.45 MM: nothing special here, just a standard .45 with a small (very small) cylinder under the barrel of the gun. the cylinder able to fire out a small grappler hook
ammunition: the most standard of ammo, is a sacred. basilcally just a normal bullet with holy water inside. a gospel round, is a bullet made with a rare type of silver, embedded with runes, to increase damage. compared to the sacred...VERY powerful. but has a b***h of a recoil. so firing in bulk, is hard. and a spirit. a spirit is...technically a bullet with a tiny devil inside. the devils energy is released among impact. though its still in the experimental phases...every test done only ended up giving the target strength instead of killing it

(gospal, and sacred)barriers: they are tiny little cross like stakes. shoving them into the ground will create a barrier (obviously). the strength of the barrier depends on the type. angels are the most common. able to completely obliterate lesser demons, but stronger ones are only paralyzed by it. and if one has enough strength, an angel barrier will have no effect at all. spirits re a bit more powerful than angels. more types and models are being tested...
for the barrier to actually take effect, four have to be put in place...either creating a large cross, or just a field (square). the size of the field depends on how far they are set.
holy water: pretty much just blessed water...nothing special. can hurt lesser demons, any type of devil, certain kinds of vampires, or pretty much any being considered unholy.
crux crusius: it looks like nothing more than a metallic cross. a bit sharp around the edges...seemingly harmless though. but a blade can be formed from the users aura. the effect/strenght/duribility/color/etc.. of the blade is decided on the individuals aura
(dont know if thats what its called in the series..but what ever)there is a hole awry of weaponry used at the Magdalene order. be it guns, or something more old fashioned.
anyways...the Magdalene order is a big a** place...so if we are ever in an RP using the Magdalene order as a setting...feel free to RP as a random Magdalene order exorcist/student/other, if needed. if you gonna make that person an RPC you use regularly, or just a temporary thing...is up to you...
+note+...this is all based off of chrono crusade (manga/anime). if you seem interested, or want to get an better understanding of this...then read the manga (or whatch the anime)...i highly recomend it ^^.
though make a note, that this setting isnt intended on being 100% exactly like the series.
