My Novel is slowly getting underway, and I've finished tweaking three character's basic information so it's somewhat decent to be posted up on a site (though, at the moment I only have one person as a friend, so not many people are going to be reading it anyway...). These three characters are the main Dragoon characters, the ones that live for longer than a chapter anyway (so far). Enjoy reading through it and remember, constructive criticism is very welcome. I want my Novel to be the best it could be.

Main Dragoon Characters:
HUSKY: A b*****d albino teen, the only survivor to the catastrophe called Tiamat’s Wrath. He was taken in by a veteran Dragoon whom he calls ‘Old Fart’, and despite his friendly demeanour, inside of him lurks a dark predator side that his mentor says was born when he had stared into the otherworldly eyes of Tiamat. He is the wielder of a Lance named Gae Bolg, made from the bone of a sea monster, and despite the fact that he has done exploits that would give him the title of ‘Dragoon’, he is still an apprentice.
His personality is one of a child. If he feels like dancing, he’ll dance, if he feels like fighting, he’ll fight. Anything that captures his attention, he’ll be swarmed with curiosity until he picked it apart and understood how it works. It is that quality that makes one of his colleagues say that he’d be better off being a scientist or a researcher than a Dragoon – if it wasn’t for the fact that Husky is, and always will be, illiterate. But, a contrast to this devil-may-care attitude, in battle, Husky matches the ferocity and blood lust of any dragon, cutting down his foes – man, woman or child (though the latter rarely happens) – indiscriminately; though whenever he does do a massacre concerning human targets, Husky always has an excuse as to why – mostly revolving around saving damsels in distress or self defence or, most commonly, ‘they were dragons in disguise’.
It is easy to see that Husky does not concern himself with social graces, and is rather blunt, to the point of rudeness, and intrusive upon people. He doesn’t understand the basics of idioms, aside from the insults, and innuendos or double ententes are lost on him. This isn’t because of stupidity or obliviousness, it is because that he had not had much human contact, aside from his mentor and other Dragoon colleagues, who are just as isolated from other people – and the ‘friendly’ dragons have a different culture to humans, one that Dragoons mostly follow by then the ‘civilised’ culture of humans.
In appearance, Husky is quite extraordinary. Albino’s are rare in this world, and usually killed at birth due to the superstition that a child wreathed in white brings misfortune upon the family and their associates. Husky was a b*****d child, and his mother – who was practically barren – did not wish to give up the possibly only child she’ll ever have. So Husky lucked out, and proved the superstition to be almost true, as when the Dragon Lady, Creator of the Universe swooped down on the town he lived in, she had destroyed every human, cattle and all life, aside from Husky, within the area that he or his mother or his mother’s friends came in contact with. The reason why that happened, or why Husky was spared from death is unknown, but he still garners a few hated and fearful looks because of his albinism. His eyes are scarlet, very vivid, and easily hurt by bright light – therefore he travels during twilight or early morning, and during very sunny and bright days, he wears a thick leather bandanna across his eyes with slits to peer through. He is fairly short, at fifteen years old he hasn’t gotten his growth spurt yet, roughly around 5ft 9”, but he uses this short stature to his advantage, building his body for speed and dexterity.
His armour is very little, and revealing, causing him to be mistaken for a girl on several occasions. His shins are protected by sleek metallic greaves, straps of strong leather holding them in place, and overlapping his heavy boots. The rest of his legs are bare until they reach the groin, where only a simple groin guard covers that area, with only the thin band of metal holding the groin guard in place, and tight leather ‘hotpants’ hiding his rump from view. His stomach is unprotected, and is toned to a smooth six pack, and has given him the impression of womanly hips. His chest, from the diaphragm up to his collarbone, is protected by a customised silver lined breastplate adorned with the insignia of the Dragoon, an emblem of the Wyrm, Uroboros, devouring its own tail – a representation of the world and eternity. The shoulders are covered with paldrons, also emblazoned with the Eternity insignia, and these are attached to the steel bracers guarding his arms from damage. His hands are protected by fingerless gauntlets that guard only the back of his hands, the fingers and palms covered with thick leather. He doesn’t wear the Dragoon Helmet, due to the fact that he is still an apprentice, so he wears a silver diadem instead, holding his white hair from his eyes. His hair is shaggy, and looks constantly windswept, reaching just his neck in a messily cut manner. His skin is pale to the point where his veins are visible as vivid blue lines, and his lips are full and unusually flushed. His canines are longer than average too, sometimes to the point where they almost protrude from his mouth from time to time. Coupled with his slim physique, pale, almost divine, features, scarlet eyes and sharp fangs, he has been accused of being a Nosferatu many times (and chased out of villages and towns because of it).
NANHI: One of Husky’s colleagues. He is a veteran Dragoon as well, and had accompanied his mentor to Ground Zero of where Tiamat’s Wrath occurred. He was against bringing Husky back with them, believing the suspicions of unlucky albinos to be true, therefore he and Husky constantly grate against each other’s nerves and have an eternal hatred for one another. Of course, following the Code of Dragoon, they do not actively seek to kill each other, and will, grudgingly, work together to get out of a sticky situation alive. He wields the spear Gungnir, which has the strange power to never miss a target (like a homing missile), and always returns to Nanhi’s hand. It is also made of an otherworldly metal called ‘uru’, and somehow channels Nanhi’s inner strength to do all kinds of powerful acts.
His personality is one of a cynical philosopher. He broods over ancient texts, prays to the Olde Gods – Bahamat, Tiamat, Odin and Varna – and is well known to make dramatic speeches to his enemies constructed to unnerve them. He is a master at psychological combat as well as physical, and is usually a serene, if not dark, person, his expression never changing from its blank mask. Of course, until Husky is within a ten metre radius, then he viciously, verbally attacks the albino with a sharp tongue. He understands social behaviour better than most Dragoons, because he usually accompanies his mentor to the King’s Court and therefore has to know the idiosyncrasies of the upper class to avoid causing offence and dishonouring his mentor. He tried to teach Husky’s these things, but after a few disastrous attempts, they both agreed that it was a waste of time.
His past is mysterious, but it is common knowledge that his mentor picked him up from the streets when he was a child. Anything before that no one knows, and any attempt at prying is met with a blank stare and the hostile clenching of the fingers around Gungnir’s shaft. People after a while, leave it alone, and he keeps his mysterious aura, leaving him to read his old texts, or plays, and brood over the profound mysteries of life and death.
His appearance is of a stocky warrior. He is taller than Husky, 5ft 11”, but he is also broader. Barrel-chested and muscles practically bulging from his skin, he is undeniably the powerhouse of the Dragoons. Unlike Husky, he is clad from head to toe in armour, with only his eyes visible. He has a Dragoon Helmet, with a silver visor inbuilt with a respiratory system activated when fighting poisonous foes, like the Deerhurst Dragon he had faced with Husky, acting as an overseer to see how far the boy had progressed. On the rare occasion his helmet does come off, everyone’s eyes are automatically drawn to his vivid crimson hair cropped short into a spiky mess. He has a scar travelling down from his right temple curving down to the bottom of his jaw, stopping alarmingly close to his jugular – a testament to the battle with Abraxas where neither won.
Cύ CHULAINN: The mentor of Nanhi and Husky. He gave Husky his famous lance, Gae Bolg, which was rumoured that it was made from the terrifying sea serpant The Coinchenn, which died when fighting The Curruid. There was a small uproar in the community of Dragoons when Cύ Chulainn gave his powerful spear to some albino whelp, but he stuck by his decision, saying that Gae Bolg wanted to serve the albino child. It was because of this that he took up The Spear, the one that struck down God and could kill anything – from the Devil to Tiamat herself – with a single blow, and is able to pierce the hardest of flesh, and it’s name, aside from Destiny Spear, was the Lance of Longinus – Spear of Heaven. Cύ Chulainn is respected as a powerful Dragoon, and is the figurehead of the community of Dragoons. He was the only one that was able to battle Tiamat once, toe to toe, and did not allow her to worm her way through towards the capital where she hoped to destroy it. Though, before she retreated, she did give him a debilitating wound on his left leg, curving down his thigh down to his calf that could never heal. But despite this, Cύ Chulainn has been able to battle other dragons and win – though it is said that his power is not what it once was, from both the wound and old age. He doesn’t fight as often as he once did though, as he has to care for his eternal wound 24/7, keeping the bandages tight and the stitches fresh otherwise it’ll succumb to infection.
He comes off as a gruff, aloof man. But whenever he sees a orphaned child, he has a perchance to whisking them away to the Dragoon encampment, giving them something to live for. There is a running joke that most of the Dragoons are Cύ Chulainn’s ‘strays’, which made sense as most of the Dragoons are completely loyal to him, and would gladly lay their lives down for him – even Husky, who calls him disrespectful names and tried everything in his power to aggravate the other man, is one hundred per cent loyal to him. But despite his unfriendliness, he has a soft spot for children, and is unmerciful to anyone who maliciously harms a child. He has a policy of ‘Sink or Swim’ when teaching, pushing people to the edge as he believes that only when faced with imminent death, that people can dig deep inside themselves and draw out their true potential. It is this teaching that has given birth to many great Dragoons. He also has a good judge of character, possibly because of his frequent visits to the King’s Court, where he has to watch out for the people who’ll stab him in the back for their own personal gain, and avoid the traps the King himself lays for him. He is fond for Husky as well, more so than his other strays, though no one knows why yet.
He is a battle scarred man, strong and rough. Though not heavily built like Nanhi, Cύ Chulainn has the muscles of a swimmer, lean and wiry. He is clad in the customary Dragoon armour, silver lined breastplate, bracers, helmet and greaves, and his joints and bare skin, aside from his face, are protected by thick Dragon Hide which he cut from Tiamat herself. He is tanned, and his face, despite being in his mid-fifties, is not marred by deep wrinkles. His eyes are a peculiar shade of electric blue, and his dishevelled medium length hair (tied up always in a lazy ponytail) is a sandy blond. He has few scars on his face, only one on his forehead that curves downwards into his eyebrow, stopping short of his left eye, and another across his cheek, the rest are hidden under his armour, and no one dares to ask to see them.
