"Wonderful , Wonderful," Marcus said as the spell enclosed their group. Sendron and his Lord stayed standing. Marcus reached into his bag with his free had, as his other hand was holding up his staff. From the leather bag he pulled out a dusty old tomb.
"So, you would like to know. In the most simple sense, we are looking for a book. If you got a bit more detail, then we are looking for a book containing a powerful spell. But, as you asked, I will explain everything. The book we are looking for is an old tome. a reputation for this book was earned due to, misuse, by it's previous owners. But within it's pages are hundreds of powerful and ancient spells. Some we may already know, but the reason we want the book is for a specific spell. A healing spell.
"A healing spell that is powerful enough to bring a person back from the being slain. Actually return their soul to their lifeless body. Revive them along with their memories, thoughts, and feelings. With such a spell, one would have to be split in half, or blow to pieces to be beyond healing. I can cure any disease, and repair flesh wound that most would think impossible to heal. Only thing it can't heal or halt is age.
"You are to repeat this to no one, understand? A power like this will cause madness and scrambling, everyone after it. We will take our man, and go. Do not follow, do not spy. Understand?"
"Yes, but I want a copy for my clan's archives." The lady agreed with a smirk. "And do not worry about House Twilight's Shadow letting this secret loose in Lore. For we have kept many such dangerous secrets for none other than Noctros himself."
With a snap of her fingers she summoned Cousin to attendance. "Have you found suitable candidates?" With a bow the man placed several pieces of paper on the table, then departed after given the signal from his patriach. Looking over the papers for several moments she selected a person at last. "Well, it looks like you shall get your person. A mere male, a bit of a dunce from too much inbreeding between relatives in order to keep a business within a specific family line. But he has an adequate magical talent. Even the weakest of our House has some talent. He also has the added benefit of being disposable, so no loss to us."
Placing the papers inside a hidden pocket in the inside of her left sleeve she stood up, "So, shall we agree to this bargain? A copy of your spell for the use of the of my House member?"
Hearing this, Marcus´s smile flickered for a moment, but returned just as quickly. No, we can't have something like this just lying in their archive. Nor can Noctros learn of this. This is not what I had in mind... "Alright then, I agree.
"I will follow your terms to the letter, when I kill your man, you will get your copy," Marcus said, he waved his hand and the barriers disappeared. A few moments later a man with an escort showed up at the door, "Ah! You must be him," Lord NightHound said, and he clapped his hand on Sendron's shoulder, "Come here and hold my staff above my hand. The selected person walked forward and did so, and in an instant the three were gone.
"So my dear fellow, what is your name?" The Lord asked their new company, "Percy," He replied, "Well Percy," Marcus said, "Sendron, you and I are about to make history. What do you think of that?"
