Grimoire Moonstriker: Rika's First Entry
Dear Diary, today I am 10 years old. It's my birthday! Daddy told me that he wanted me to make a record in Uncle Silvy's big book up in his library on my tenth birthday because I was "coming of age" or something. They're funny. I had a great party earlier with a big yummy cake that mommy and daddy had made together. They surprised me in my room with a big slice of the cake for breakfast when I woke up. Usually they don't let me eat things that sweet, especially in the mornings because they say it's bad for me and it makes me hyper, but daddy said today was special because it was my birthday. It was the best thing I ever ate! I love it when daddy cooks for me because he makes the best food! After that, I cleaned up and put on my prettiest dress and daddy had already invited all of my friends from school, so they came just as I went outside! It would have been better if we could have gone to Uncle Silvy's house, but daddy said that we wouldn't be able to get all of my friend's there, so it was okay! Uncle Silvy has such a big yard and a pretty forest around it, but some of the people who live in it are spooky! I played with all of my friends and we all had tons of fun. Daddy gave everybody a big piece of cake and a big cold glass of milk and mommy gave all of my friends a pretty bag full of yummy candy and fun little toys, and they were really excited and happy to have gotten them. After we ate, everybody gave me great presents! Even Daddy's friends Zeron and Alustrasz came to give me a present! I got a few dresses and they were so pretty, and the cutest dolls I had ever seen! And so many other great things! After all of my friends left, I was tired, and daddy told me about the book and asked me to write in it after I took a nap. I said I would and I gave mommy and daddy a big hug and took a nap. When I woke up, I ate another piece of cake and I came up to write in the book like daddy asked. I hope I'm doing it right. I read daddy's entries before mine and they were really cool! I didn't know daddy was that old! But he's really awesome and him and Uncle Silvy have been through a lot together! They're really fun to play with! All of my friends say that I have the best parents and that makes me happy. Well, that's how my day went, so I hope I did this right! I love you, daddy!
