Ryukai
Exile
I remember this day so clearly, and it haunts my memories forever. I was preaching to a huge crowd when my mind had blanked and I heard only the stern voice of Silver Wolf. The Gods had all assembled and called for a meeting, requesting for Silver Wolf and myself most importantly. I had departed from my sermon and ascended to the Heavens where the Gods had awaited us. Silver Wolf knew what was going on already, and I remember the grim look on his face as we approached the awaiting Gods. Little did I know we both walked towards our eternal damnation. During our judgment, the Gods were angered at what became of the current state of the world because of the intervention of Silver Wolf and my allegedly "mistaken" creation.
The Gods explained how great kingdoms and nations of "enlightened long-eared beings" were appearing in recent years and had begun to enslave humans, believing that they were superior to the humans since they were Elven, more specifically, my descendents, my offspring. I had turned to my brother, expecting to see him infuriated, but to my surprise his face was calm, and he looked at me as if he was not angered at what I had done, and as he smiled at me, he said,
"It was a natural thing to do, Ryukai. They are angered at us for their own lack of foresight, Ryukai. Do not blame yourself for this, for this is the path that Fate has chosen to guide all mortals along."
And I will always remember that moment in my life, the moment that Silver Wolf and myself became brothers as we embraced each other tightly as the Gods had banished us from the Heavens, forever stripping us of the power we had as we were reborn as mortals down below the Heavens…
