Zeon walked like a cat right at his master's heels."Hey sorry for doing so well in school.It was so easy I had to keep doing it and doing it right and fast or else it got boring."
"Don't worry about it.At least listen next time and stay on the play ground.OK?"
"OK."Zeon stood up on 2 legs and adjusted his new yellow rope belt.Then continued to follow his human master and the other human.
Shadow stopped and looked at Zeon who was sniffing around like a dog."It's gonna get hard to hide him you know,Shadow.He acts so weird,and he's to smart to be a 5 year old.What are we going to do?If you haven't noticed he has NO MANNERS!"
"We'll teach him.When he's good....um this could be hard."
Zeon heard the conversation but didn't care.He followed the strange scent that was stronge and hard to ignore.
Shadow went over to Zeon."What's up?"Zeon shushed him and started digging.Zeon hissed at the object in the ground and scrambled onto Shadow's head.
Shadow pulled the object out of the dirt and dusted it off.It was a black leather book...........and on its cover was the same mark that was on Zeon's hand.In gold letters it said HOW TO TAME A ONCE DEMONIC SERPENT.At the bottom was a warning writen in green ink DO NOT READ UNLESS YOU ARE THE TAMER AND MASTER OF ZEON."Zeon,am I your master?"
"Yes."
"And your tamer?"
"Yes,your job is to teach me how to fight for good and reclaim my powers.You'll learn how after you read the book."Shadow looked at the book.It was no thicker than 100 pages."I can do that."
"Good.How 'bout you get some-"
"Nice try but I refuse to get shoes...Oh to bad for you."
Shadow stared at the creature by the window."Were you really a fearsome shadow that threatened some dumb fantasy world?"Zeon looked as if he had been wounded."It's a real world.And yes that is correct......I'm not that fearsome anymore......I never was.I just wanted some one.....Anyone to understand me...My own parents didn't even like me...It became unbearable.I had to do it.....I was a demon from birth but a little love and attention and Angray wouldn't be in such a mess."Zeon looked away.Shadow saw a tear fall onto the bed and dropped the subject and kept reading the book."Sorry."
"Yeah,so am I...."
"Hey,I love you.So does Page....You just need to be less bossy and behave more.That includes not shushing me,and instead tell me.Got that?No shushing.Or calling me or Page stupid,human,or freak.Call us by our names.My name's Shadow and her's is Page.Got that?"
