Chapter Three: The After Shock (PG-13)
They stayed there in the dark corner of the room with the light casting shadows across their faces, for what seemed like hours. Why did she stay in his strong but comforting arms when she knew she would have to leave and never ever return? Suddenly memoires flashed back into her head. It was the night before she would get rapped; they were on a long dusty road with cracks that seemed to outline her anger, which would soon lead to her careless action in the night after. They were on the corner by dark polluted alley; she was torn between the creepy darkness and running away. As the darkness cast their unwelcoming shadows across one half of her face; the other shining with light; she remembered their voices getting louder and louder, which soon turned so loud their conversation was drowned out by the tone of outrage. Suddenly he came forward and kissed her, she expecting a soft warm delicious embrace but getting a hard wet kiss that had heat burning down her spine and into her legs. She shivered at the thought of it and half expected his eyes to turn to hers in sympathy but they unfortunately meet hers in an eager passionate yet teasing look. (Oh God, please no), she thought as he laded his eyes on her. He sized her up and she looked down unable to speak. He smiled his teeth showed his white fangs and she couldn't help think of the night of the rape. His unforgiving eyes on her, ready to attack at the first sigh of her leave. She remembered how he held her down, and ripped off all of her belongings; even the necklace her father had given to protect her right before he died. She remembered the way he kissed her without passion or care, wishing for her not to have acted the way she did. (God would she ever forgive him let alone herself?), she thought as he kissed her on the neck. "You should go", he said wishing they could stay there forever, but then he got an idea. She smiled evilly and added before she had a chance to say anything," when you get back I have something for you". She sighed, "I'm not coming back, Kyle", she said trying to keep the edge out of her voice. "No, you are", he said calmly but couldn't help but say it in forceful tone. "You can't control my life", she said almost crying now. "Damn it, Elena I don't want to get mad!", but at this point he was shouting and she begged for him to calm down. "I'm not going to calm down! I LOVE you, Elena! ," he screamed coming forward and kissing her hard on the lips; pushing her against the wall. "I didn't want it to be like this", he said taking her in more gently now. "But you better be ready because we're getting married."
