Chapter 1: A Warning Comes.
"Hey!" a girl shouted. A blur ran by, his blond hair trailing behind him, a scar on his right eye, his hazel eyes sharp, running through the market. Under his arm is his prize, his stolen prize of a loaf of bread. "I'm sorry, but I need to eat!" he yelled back, seeing a clearing and jumping to the roof. He kneeled on his landing, looking around, checking his surroundings. "All clear..." he said, slowly standing. He stood, 5'9, hazel eyes, blond hair down to his shoulder, dressed in a blue body vest, blue jeans, and a brown cross belt around his waist, daggers strapped to the sides. His arms, slightly muscular, but still lanky. He turned and looked down, "Wish that I didn't have had to do that..." he said, rubbing the back of his head. "But when you live on the streets...Need to do what you can I guess." he said turning back around, walking to the other side of the roof.
"Still having to steal food Isaac?" a voice said. Isaac quickly turned and faced the man with a grin, recognizing the voice. "Well unlike you, I didn't steal expensive crap, Trevor." The man called Trevor, dressed in a red and black shirt, blue raggedy jeans, and a brown leather cross belt grinned. "Hey, you know the street rules, do what you need to do.". "Where are you headed?" "I was just wandering around when I heard a commotion in the market, and I figured you were behind it, no surprise I was right." "Well, need my food..." "I know, never said it was a bad thing." Isaac stared down at the loaf of pilfered bread, second guessing his actions. Trevor walked over and placed his hand on his friends shoulder, his black hair falling over his eyes, and smiled. "Hey, you get used to it...You're new to the streets, so you aren't used to the life. We need to live, so we have no choice. Would you rather eat garbage?" he grinned, putting Isaac in a headlock. Isaac laughed, pushing his way out. "I know I know...". The two then descended and walked off to the forest line.
"So, you hear about the rumors?" Trevor asked. "What rumor?" "The rumor that someone is trying to call back the dragons from the sealed realm the sages locked them in." "No one can do that..." "Hey, anything is possible. I doubt these rumors myself, but then again, the story..." "I know, Ragnius, Savin, and Fiona...The tree weapons they used to seal them were scattered, killing the wielders in the process to seal them. But there have been groups who have been practicing old dragon magic, trying to get them back..." "Exactly, which means, like I said, anything is possible..." "Yea, I guess you're right." With that, Trevor quickly got ahead of Isaac, standing in front of him. "You learn that trick yet?" he asked. "I got a hold of it, but not something great." he replied, shrugging. Trevor pointed to a tree and nodded. "Show me". Isaac sighed, closed his eyes, and raised his right arm at the tree. "Fire!" he said, and a red aura quickly covered his hand, and shot out a sphere of fire, scorching the tree. "Not bad!" Trevor remarked, a little shocked. "You have a talent for that, how were you able to tap into the mana around you so well?" "No idea, I guess I'm lucky."
Slowly, the sky turned to a orange color, the clouds growing gray, as if the sun was setting. "Hey...What is going on..." Isaac said, looking up. "It's not even six, and the sky is looking like this..." "I know, talk about weird..." Trevor replied, looking up as well. The eastern skies appeared as if they were on fire, and a massive surge filled the air, charging it with intense mana. "This air...The mana in it..." Trevor said, taking a step back. "I know, it's intense...Thick...Blood lusting..." The sky then turned a blood red, and a ominous bright pillar of light shined in the distance, piercing the heavens.
