Part 3

"What are you doing here Keto?" Kula asked as she slammed Chikaru into the ground.
"I was about to ask you the same thing." Keto said as he struggled to hold Sandina. Sandina opened her mouth an bit down hard on Keto's hand, and she elbowed his gut.
"Crap, it is a vampire after all." Sandina thought as she raced to grab her knife. "I can't worry about that know. Hang on Chikaru." Sandina leapt towards Chikaru's body and blocked Kula's fist before it crushed Chikaru's head.
Chikaru uneasily looked up at Sandina. Her lip was cut and she was bleeding badly. "Sandina, let me take her. I can do it." Chikaru's head fell to the ground and she passed out.
"Die you mangy mutt!" Sandina shouted. She sliced Kula's muzzle and Kula leapt back growling. Keto slammed Sandina against the rocky cliff and pinned her hard against it knocking the wind out of her.
"Now that wasn't very nice for you to bite my hand human." Keto said in his silky smooth voice. "How about I return the favor?"
Sandina looked to Chikaru and then to Keto. "I'm sorry Chikaru." Sandina's lightning gloves began to spark. "But you guys have pushed it too far." Lightning soared around Sandina's body. The power surged through her veins and the energy blast shot Kula and Keto back. Sandina ran in front of Chikaru and blocked her from any more of Kula's attacks. Kula charged towards Sandina. Sandina put her hands in front of her chest and lightning formed between her palms. "EAT THIS!" Lightning shot from her hands and blew Kula into the cliff wall. Sandina fell to her knees from using such a powerful blast. Chikaru woke up and looked at Sandina huffing and puffing.
"Sandina? Are you ok?" Chikaru sat up and watched the light from the lightning blast fade away. "Wow.... that was some shot. I don't think Kula will live through that."
Keto's laughter rang around them in the darkness. "Oh... How wonderful!" Keto's evil laughter shivered down their spines. "I should have known you two were academy students. From the look of it. You're at a very high level." Keto jumped down from out of the tree and landed two yards in front of them. "I have to admit, lightning like that must take soooo much time and energy to learn how to control. And I bet from that blast," Keto's smug grin crept across his face. "That it drained you completely."
"Sandina... how much of a blast did you use?" Chikaru asked and she began to tremble.
"I have more than enough to defeat you vamp!" Sandina shouted as she pulled herself to her feet. "Chikaru, I need you to get outta here. Get to the cave and get the flower. I'll finish this guy off and join you later."
"I can't just leave you here."
"You will leave me or you'll be in my way."
"Alright." Chikaru got up and began to run into the forest. "Meet you back at the academy!"
"You're the exact thing my father has been searching for."
"What do you mean?" Sandina reached for her knife.
"You're the little brat that my father saw using the lightning before. He's been waiting for you to show your face."
Sandina remembered back to when she was a young girl practicing with the lightning. The largest vampire she had ever seen had swooped in on her and she barely escaped with her life.
"You're... You're Count Diago's son?!" Sandina's arms and legs began to tremble. All she could think about was Count Diago attacking her.
"That's right." Keto evilly grinned and took a step forward. Sandina took a step back. Each time Keto came forward, Sandina stepped back. "I can see you shaking. You're helpless against me." Keto backed Sandina up against the cliff wall. "And you're in good condition to work my father's machine." Keto brushed his icy hand against Sandina's face. Sandina brushed his hand away in fear and he grabbed her wrist. "If you don't calm down... you'll end up having a heart attack." Keto squeezed her wrist so hard it was crushing her bones. Sandina screamed in pain. Her voice rang out through the night.
"Sandina's in trouble." Chikaru turned and ran back towards the clearing in the woods. Keto pinned Sandina on her stomach and dug his knee into her back. Chikaru raced in and kicked Keto away from Sandina's body. "You alright?"
Sandina held onto her left wrist as the bruises darkened. "What happened?!"
"The jerk broke my wrist."
"Sandina, I got the flowers in my bag, let's just get outta here."
"You two aren't going anywhere!" Kula roared as she crawled out of the cliff wall. "You're going to die here and now!" Kula leapt towards Sandina, but Chikaru pushed Sandina out of the way and Kula's claws stabbed her deep in her stomach.

Part 4

"CHIKARU!" Sandina jumped to kill Kula, but she was too fast. Keto kicked Sandina from behind and Sandina skidded on her side along the ground. Kula threw Chikaru to the ground and licked the blood on her claws.
"Human blood. The most delicious kinda of drink."
"You monster..." Sandina grabbed a stone and threw it at Kula. Kula snatched it and crushed it in her grasp.
"Now it's your turn little Sandina." Sandina reached into her jacket pocket and pulled out all the light bombs she had and threw them between Chikaru and Kula. The light soared high into the air; illuminating everything within 2 miles.
Sandina grabbed Chikaru and raced her up the hill to the cave of the wall flowers. "Its ok Chikaru. I promise you that you're not going to die. Or turn into a stupid werewolf." Sandina charged up the rest of her lightning and revived Chikaru with one shock to her chest.
"Sandina... I can feel my body changing." Chikaru groaned.
"No... You’re not going to change. Please no." Sandina searched through Chikaru's bag for the antidote for werewolf attacks. "Come on... I saw you put it in here earlier. Where is it?!" Sandina frantically poured out the bag and ransacked through the items. "It has to be somewhere." Sandina brushed away some spit fire bottles and found the needle with the green antidote inside. Chikaru's body thrashed around as the werewolf slowly began to take over her body. "I found it Chikaru. You're going to be alright!" Sandina plunged the needle into Chikaru's arm and pushed the antidote into her body.
Chikaru sat up and felt her body. They both let out a sigh of relief. "I'm alright except for the stabs in my stomach. How about you?"
"The lightning took a huge toll on my body and the vamp didn't help much, but I think I'm going to be ok."
"I think we'll be safe here for a while. How many of those light bombs did you use?"
"I used all of mine. I needed to stall as long as possible."
"Crud."
"What?"
"I gave you all my light bombs cause I had too much as it was to carry. So that's the last of the light bombs. How’s the inventory?"
Sandina looked through the items she dumped on the cave floor. "Well.... we got a can of spitfire left, three knives, one sword, four arrows, one knife sharpener, eight smoke bombs, some ace wraps and a pack of gum." Sandina picked up the gum. "Why do we have a pack of gum?"
"It’s the ice gum that Kitko gave us remember?"
"OH. I forgot about this. It might come in handy. You keep it on you since I'd probably freeze my own hand off. Speaking of which, my wrist is killing me. Let me wrap your wounds Chikaru and then you can wrap mine." Sandina took up the ace bandages and wrapped them around Chikaru's waist. And soon as she was finished Chikaru wrapped up Sandina's left wrist. "This stings... I wish we didn't run into that vampire."
"Yeah, but it doesn't matter now. All we should worry about now is getting home."
"Too bad you'll never get home." Keto laughed. Chikaru and Sandina sprung to their feet. "You may have been able to stop that werewolf, but vampires are not that weak."
"Chikaru, use the ice gum!" Chikaru shoved the whole pack in her mouth and blew it out of her mouth. Keto dodged the ice and punched Chikaru's throat. Sandina attacked Keto from behind, but he grabbed her broken wrist and flung her over his body onto the ground. "You puny human..." Keto said brushing his fang along Sandina's neck. "You're coming with me."
