So, today was the big day where I was supposed to have my interview with Matt in order to become assistant manager at EB and get back into happiness. However, that's not the first part of the story, so hold your horses before you get antsy about reading the <b>Lame Tales of a Nobody</b> that seem to excite you all so.

The first thing today was getting up early so that I could call the doctor's office and find out what time would be good to come pick-up my blood test results. Unfortunately, it's kind of hard to do that when the doctor's office mails you the results from the blood tests you have done and they have nothing else to do with it. The only thing I'll have to see them about is the HIV test I had done since that I apparently have to go in and sign for. Either way, I've got nothing so far, even though I know I'm clean.

All right, now onto the lamest part that no one wants to hear about.

After I called the doctor's office to learn squat, I took a shower, pressed my shirt and my slacks, put on my tie, prepped the rest of my body and then headed out the door. I arrived at EB a little before 12:00 PM and hung around for awhile since Mary had told me that Matt was going to be there about 1:00 PM. So, I waited and spoke to Mary briefly before she left and then spent the hours that followed hanging-out with Chad and Allen. This went by with little happening aside from me trying to help them do preorders for <b>Madden 06</b> and selling EB Edge cards.

And then 3:00 PM rolled around like a thunderstorm...

Mary calsl the store and ends up talking to me on the phone, letting me know that she had spoken with Matt about everything. According to her, Matt doesn't want her to have an assistant manager at her store, but she still offered me a full-time position for $7.00 an hour there, making me the only full-time associate.

Translation?

I'm basically going to be the assistant manager, but she's going to get away with not paying an ASM salary while still making me do all of the b***h work.

It doesn't really matter though because I'll have a full-time position making decent enough money for the time being. I'll be able to start saving up so I can see Monica again soon and eventually either move out to be with her in California or move her here to Florida. Ether way, it's a small step towards my own happiness, even if it's not the leap I was really hoping for.

On a side note, I want to apologise to Monica for being a schmuck on accident. I didn't mean to make her upset, but I did anyway and I'm sorry, hun. I love you and I never want to hurt your feelings. heart
