In my days of old, I remember a particular young girl who was always mistreated like me. She was battered and bruised for being different, but she didn't do anything. Snow, once came to the school we were going to, of course it was too cold to go outside for recess. But, when we had to wait for a transport home, I keenly remember the days in which we teamed up and stormed everyone with snowballs.
I shook myself from the nestalgia, and to my discovery, snow was falling outside.
I was in bed, which came as a surprise to me because the last thing I remembered last night was a kiss from JP after the whole spa thing, but we were in the park. JP was laying across from my bed, she must of heard my thoughts or something because she smiled. And it was the imp smile I always found kind of funny to see on her face.
"Okay body, time to get up and move."
The next thing I realized after actually having woke up is that the room hadn't bore the scent of Tsu's salty fragrence, nor did it hold the smells of any of the others. I had thought I was taken hostage by JP for a moment, (in which I didn't really think about minding), but then I heard them as they were waking up, the groan that Tsu usually made, Mortar's big stretch roar, Twist's good old POP! which he made from his neck whenever he got up, and there was Infernox, who knocked his head against the wall, the usual drowsy moaner of morning.
Then I turned to JP, the one who always slept in. "Okay Angel. Get your lazy bum out of the bed.," I said to her, giving her a nudge. She sniveled, but didn't move. "Why me? Why do I always have to take her off of the bed?," I groaned this along with a couple of curses while I got ready to push her off of the bed. And right as soon as I closed my eyes for the ceremonial breath I'd take before getting kicked in the ribs. I heard a massive THUD! on the floor. And there she was, groaning at how she rolled off of the bed on her own account.
"Ouch! That hurt!," she said. "Yeah, well you didn't have a lot of bed to roll over.," I said laughing lightly. "Haha, very funny!" she replied giving me a little wink signifying she knew I was messing with her.
"Look, it's snowing." I said to her, nodding in the direction of the window. "I see that," She said smirking. "But what are you going to do about it?"
We found ourselves outside going from snowball fight, to snow war. In the action I had built a base when the snow got high enough. (I built it underground.) I had been sneak attacking the guys after building tunnels that went all te way around the city. I had popped out and finally began the real fight when all of a sudden, some form of movement caught my eye.
"Did you see that?" I asked the group, knowing it was probably only me. "See what?" JP, Jax, and all of them had said, apparently thinking the snow had gotten to me. The silver flash streaked around once more, but this time it was accompanied by even more streaks.
"I saw that! Rupture!" Mortar said this just before having created a small quake in the snow as the streaks tried to move. They got caught by Mortar, they bounced off of the hard-packed snow, and just fell into a pit of loose snow.
"Wait, I know that streak." I said, trying to recall where it was I saw the fast being before. We had gone over the pit to see the beings that fell, it turns out I was right.
I saw a being that looked like a wolf, but because of te way she was darting around me, and because of her signature red irised eyes, I automatically knew who it was.
"There's but only one other person who bears that mark besides me, and that's Winter, Wolf of the Snow." I said, staring at her in her wolf form.
"Question is, why are we both here?" She returned, looking up at me, remembering the same thing I had. She reformed herself back to human, a fairly different form even from what we were in the Human realm.
"I suppose that's something that only the profecy can tell. You always did carry snow along with you, one way or the other." I said to Winter helping her up.
"And you always bore the red irises, and fighting spirit," she had returned, a grin forming on her face. "Looks like the demolition duo is back in town, eh DJ?"
"Yes, but in the Hybrid realm, we have more on our side now. Guys, I'd like you all to meet one of my friends from the Human realm, she's like me, just a little more under control. Her name's Winter, at least, that's the only one anybody's able to remember after becoming her friend, or opponent. Together we formed quite the duo, especially in the snow. Thus, our nicknames and duo name was formed, Demons of the Cold, and S'cold and Winter." I said this bearing an ear to ear smile. "Bet you that you all combined can't defeat me and Winter in a snowball fight." I said this having the best confidence in my friend. She agreed, but she said that her wolves had to be preoccupied while the fight went on. They had instantly gotten out of the site, and went off on wolf business.
"Well my wolven sister, I guess it's like old times eh?" I said, getting ready for the fight. "Yeah, except now, we don't have to be restrained," she returned, looking at me. "Hope you can keep up with me at my high speeds." "Heh, you forget who you're talking to, I'm the only one who ever could keep up with you, and even pass you." I said this with a chuckle. "The realms may have changed, but the order has not. I'm still as fast as you."
"Let's Go!" We all roared in excitement, and the war was on.
After a long enough period, the other team claimed defeat, for they were pounded with snowballs, while me and Winter had only two shots hit us.
"Nice job guys," I said, smile plastered on my face. "Normally, the kids would hve given up after five minutes, you guys lasted a while." "Yeah they did," Winter said to continue my story,"but we still beat them. We took them down." "Don't worry Skold and Winter, we'll get you back."They all said simultaneously.
We just laughed,"You and what army?"
Then we all really roared at the teasing joke.
After a while of hanging out with Winter. She told us how things went for her, she had to leave, but she promised that we would meet again.
"I'll see you again Skold. Next time we meet, I'll be able to finally beat you." She winked then hugged me. "Not on your life Winter," I had returned. "We'll probably be fighting against Carnaso together the next time we meet."
"Yeah, you're right. Well until then!" she exclaimed kissing me on the cheek, just before flashing away.
I just stood there flushed thinking about how much of a pain I'd feel when I'd wake up next morning. Hugging was one thing, but she freaking kissed me, IN FRONT OF JP. The only thing I could think after she left was, "I'm so dead, it isn't even funny."
JP, however, took it easy on me, thankfully because we were old friends and nothing more. Or so she said.
