A request has been made for me to write a journal entry. Apparently, my lovesick entries were entertaining. Wonderful... Unfortunately, I do not wish for any more lovesick entries. My love life is becoming extremely complicated, and I have no desire to speak of it to you my adoring fans. Instead, I shall tell you about a summer program I am applying for.
It's called the Highschool Diplomats. 48 students from America and 48 students from Japan go to Princeton for a several days and board with eachother, in hopes of making these people into friends or teach them about leadership skills or friendships with people from other countries. I would love to get into this program, but first, I need to finish applying, and I need to sell myself. Problem is, I suck at selling myself. I have very little self esteem, and self confidence. How is the best way to sell my self to this wonderful program? Gotta be creative.

I would advise to just tell them why you think you'd be good for the program. Tell them why you would like to go. A lot of people just make stuff up for this kind of thing (for instance, talking about how excited they are when they really aren't), but I think (some would say idealistically) that they can tell when an essay is completely genuine.
