From depression to understanding
I've lost the inspiration to write today,
My depression seems to be gnawing away.
My heart is heavy, I do not feel right,
As if the moon had blown up last night.
My soul feels like it is out of tone,
I cannot believe I might be alone.
I cannot understand what is wrong with me,
These poems I write feel like they are cheap.
They always feel like they have the same tone,
Yet I feel like they are original.
They are always intended for the one I hold dear,
But it hurts to find out that I am not so near.
I was never as close as it had appeared,
She was trying to protect me from things I might fear.
Our love was not based on top of thin lies,
Our love was just blocked by a wall that hides.
She blames herself for not feeling so near,
But when she does that I can feel her tears.
Her tears are warm and full of love,
She does not want to hide herself from her love.
She fears that his feelings would be hurt,
So she holds her thoughts, her feelings, her words.
So her wall was put up to protect her hub. (hubby),
No to make him sad, but to shield him with love.
I now understand this sad part of my day,
Sometimes protecting our hearts makes us brave.
We might hurt the ones we love,
But I now understand so my writing is done.

All the things I'd do for you

If it took a pint of blood, to be the one that you would love, I'd do it.
If it took a thousand chains, to join them up and climb through rain, I'd do it.
If I had to cross the moon, to see you in the afternoon, I'd do it.
If I had to get a rare object, the likes of one that don't exist, I'd do it.
If all I ever had to do, was walk up there and say to you, "I love you"
Then I'd do it.

Dreams of you

Dreams are things that come and go.
But dreams of you are purely gold.
They are random and blissful in everyway,
It's sad that they aren't everyday.
In those dreams I am not alone,
In those dreams I am calm and bold.
I will always protect you like a jewel,
It's no wonder why i sometimes drool.


Greatful for you

A girl like you are not like the the rest,
And after everything we've done I have no regrets.
To have a love like you,
Is like having a dream come true.
Your everything i want and more
Having you I'll never be bored.
The distance from me and you is far,
But no worries when I get a car.

Glad to have you

Some days just aren't the best,
Tis why I have you for the rest.
Some days I feel really mellow and blue,
But yet again I always have you.
Your always bright and full of life,
I'm never depressed when your in sight.
Your the girl I love and the one I need,
Your the girl who set me free.

A rare find on a winters night (Revised)

Separation is very depressing,
Especially since things can get messy.
Some times I'm mad,
other times im blue,
I'm like this because i Always miss you.
I'm not like this,
You know it's true,I guess I'm nothing without you.
You are a snowflake in a storm,
I will grab you and keep you warm.
You are different from the rest,
You are unique and are the best.
If the dreaded day comes and you want to go,
I will always remember what I was able to hold.

My love is far, she is not near,
It's times like this i shed a tear.
Her eyes so warm, her face so bright,
It is no wonder she is my type.
Her laugh so beautiful, her persona so rare,
I wish to hold her as if I were there.
She is kind to the people she knows,
She is perfect from head to toe.
She completes me, this isn't a lie,
She makes me feel like I can fly.
She's smart and funny, kind at heart,
Her nature so calm, her mind so sharp.
She is the one who inspires me,
She is the one I want to squeeze.
So to those who cannot see,
