Vegeta’s castle
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~chapter the first~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Its been twenty-five years since that fateful day majin Buu was destroyed. the son’s house had been bombed, and Goku, out training, was the only survivor. he was not used to living on his own, and after about two months, he was starving and all alone. soon after the birth of his daughter Bra, Vegeta had broken off from capsule corp. and had built a castle for the two of them to live in. Greif had killed off most of his friends, so the castle seemed to be the only safe place for Goku to go.
Goku crawled up the moat and knocked on the door. A small chalk board attached to a rope with a piece of chalk taped to it fell out an open window. “who are you and what do you want” was printed on the board. Goku replied “Its me Gok…Kakorot, I can’t live on my own much longer. I’m cold, lonely.”… “and hungry” he decided to add on. * Goku pulled the rope that held up the chalk board, and watched it zoom back up into the open window. a long sigh came from the window, and after about a minute or two, the main door was open.
the castle was far larger on the inside then it appeared to be. after hours of tiring searching, Goku found himself in the main hall in which he began. He was in shock. how could this be? he opened every door, checked every passageway. how could this had happened? maybe, Goku thought, this is another mind trick. it had happened before. he would see someone and mistake them for chi-chi or Goten and run up and hug them. that nearly got him arrested once. but then a voice rang out “up here Kakorot,” Goku looked up to see a door on the second floor open. had those stairs been there the whole time?
in the room, Vegeta was lighting candles and kneeling in front of a photograph of his daughter Bra. that’s funny, Goku thought, she’s got to be older than that. she was one when he had last seen her, and that was nineteen years ago. he decided to investigate. “hey Vegeta,” he spoke up “what are you doin’?” Vegeta didn’t say a word. in stead, he turned to face an open window, that was at a slight angle so it was facing a large oak tree. underneath the umbrella of the tree was a large, well shined stone. it had something written on it, but it was far off, and was illegible, especially for someone who hasn’t had a proper meal in weeks.
“A stone?” “a grave Kakorot!” Vegeta barked “ Bra’s grave. she died three years ago. Today. he worked hard to fight back his emotions. he would rather die then let Kakorot see him in tears. but looking back, he had cried in front of Kakorot many times before. and the look on Kakorot’s face said “I feel for you. its ok to hurt, don’t hold back.” so he finally did end up crying, but he was facing the wall.
Goku smiled. without saying a word, they had communicated and Vegeta was openly crying in front of him. the very atmosphere of the room seemed to change. the pleasant silence was soon broken from a loud low rumble that filled the room. Goku blushed slightly and Vegeta, who had finally stopped crying said “come on Kakorot, lets go get dinner.” he began walking toward the door, but Goku didn’t follow. “aren’t you coming?” Vegeta was in shock. he would think Goku would be jumping around like a mad man, but he was standing still. “I know how much this means to you Vegeta. I just wanted to say thank you.” no it was Vegeta’s turn to blush tremendously, and they walked in silence all the rest of the way to the dinning hall.
