I've been contemplating the meaning behind the term "morality". It seems to me that morals change depending on the society, and the order of importance will vary person to person. I know where my priorities lay, and it occured to me that it is probably different than that of others. I believe that no one in society has the same sense of morality as another person, and this is why our world is such a harsh place to individuals. As a race, humanity is doing well off, but in small groups or as individuals we always battle for our own rights and to fight against what we consider injust. It may be different, however, to what another person or nation considers injust but we will still continue to fight to prove that our morals are stronger, better, or just more correct. It's like trying to say an opinion can be wrong, or that one opinion is better than the next. People need to learn that just because there way of thinking is right for them, it may not be right for everyone, and when to back off of their high horse and realise that humanity is more than just a large group fighting to survive and control our planet, but is also a large group trying to fight and control eachother. Peace can't come to the world, because their are too many individuals making our world a multifaceted and more interesting place and too many people trying to destroy the diversity that is humanity.
Love everyone equaly, show respect to family and friends and every other living thing on this planet, honour your ideals and fight for your individual rights without opressing the rights of others, show compassion and forgiveness to all despite whether you feel they deserve it, remain dutiful to all you stand for and never turn your back on yourself or those you care for. This is the way I live my life, this is my moral code, the reason I can face myself each day.
