Most of my friends on Gaia know how I work right?
Well Im a casual at a small local appliance store, which is a part of a franchise which has stores all over australia.
Recently, my mother said to me,
"I think you should be getting paid more than $13 per hour"
so she looked into it.
She rang up and checked exactly what amount I should be getting paid
under the state award rate.
First she was told that I should be getting paid $13.47 MINIMUM plus 25% loading
(because I dont get sick pay or holiday pay)
I decided I should get total facts and info so that I can say something to my boss and his wife about it and have all the facts.
So I rang up to get some info and the person I talked to said that I should be getting $20.03 per hour.
That was calculated including casual and holiday loading.
I am also entitled to them back paying me the money they owe from underpaying me.
I have been working there for over a year so that should be quite a lot.
anyone wanna add that up for me??
lol
I am planning on making a claim against my boss and his wife, but the first step is going to them and letting them know that they are underpaying me.
Its not going to be easy.
I will do that when I have started the claim, that way if they try to get rid of me then they can be in a lot of trouble.
